Green Papaya has completely overhauled. It is now 100% plant based and almost completely gluten free. It’s no longer a “Vietnamese” restaurant. It now serves burgers, pizza, breakfast, superfoods bowls, smoothies, coffees/coffee alternatives. Everything can be made gluten free if it’s not already.

I asked the waitress to tell me if they could arrange a gluten free meal for me. I mentioned many times that I am celiac, and I pointed out everything that might have gluten (wheat, flour, soy sauce, peanut sauce etc.) and she seemed pretty confident and told me she could make anything on the menu GF with a few changes. So I ordered rice noodle with beef, asking her again to confirm if they really could make it gluten free. The dish came and it looked very good, the noodles where very tasty, but I had a bite of the beef and it was clearly covered with flour. I called the waitress to ask what kind of flour they used as she said wheat… like nothing happened…. So long story short I wouldn’t recommend this place. But the noodles where gf and delicious but unfortunately they contaminated them with the beef.

Consistently good, solid Vietnamese. No gf menu, but I've stuck with general safe bets like pho and bun and the crepe (#40) and have never been sick. Also the rice paper rolls here are great!
