They had a great gluten free bun to go on the delicious hamburger I ordered. I was very excited to have their sweet potato fries since I cannot have soy, either and they do not use soybean oil. Everyone was very friendly. I wish we had this restaurant in the US!!
Grill'd is the best burger fast food chain I've ever been to! Been to two locations, Melbourne and Brisbane, and can say that they go above and beyond to make sure their food has no cross-contamination! Burgers are tasty, sweet potato fries are tasty as well!
There is still crossed contamination with gluten not safe for celiac
I have eaten at this Grill’d with no issues. I always let them know I am coeliac and they grill the bun separately to avoid cross-contamination which is reassuring. The chips are all gf and great.
So disappointing that they now cook a non gluten free brisket patty on the grill and therefore risk of cross contamination has increased hugely.
Awesome scenery of the beach, very relaxing spot. Very friendly staff and aware of coeliac. They do inform you when ordering that if it’s an allergy they try their hardest to avoid cross contamination but there’s a small chance due to having bread in the kitchen. I have been there multiple times and never been sick! They do go through the process of changing gloves, utensils and the cooking process for you as well which is awesome.
The Zucchini chips (and Avocado chips!) are delicious. They have GF buns and well-marked "Gluten Friendly" burgers. But be very careful. GF buns go in the same toaster as all the rest and could pick up crumbs. They will grill the bun on request, and I was able to eat there without incident. But it's still a calculated risk — delicious, but possibly risky.
I’m celiac they can not garentee that everything is not cross contaminated but I eat there all the time and I’ve been fine I’m a sensitive celiac too.👌
Celiac friendly if you get your bun toasted on the grill, not the toaster. Fryer is GF.
When I ordered a gluten free bun, the lady who served me asked if it was an allergy, as they would use a separate chopping board. No separate fryer that I'm aware of. The buns are okay, a bit over toasted, but worth it to be able to indulge in their awesome burgers.
Grill’d specially says on their website they are not celiac friendly.
Confirmed with NIMA testing that their fried zucchini and chips are both gluten-free. Additionally, ordered a hamburger without a bun, and the meat + tomato sauce + avocado all passed NIMA testing. Excellent food!
It is usually rather good if you say when ordering that you have an allergy.
When we ask for gluten free the staff always ask if we are coeliac and say they will request for the chefs to cook separate and are careful with the food. I always feel safe when I go there.
Although many people have eaten with success, I wasn’t confident our meal would be safe. I’d say this is better for gluten intolerant. You are rolling the dice if you are celiac.
Great take away option. They’re very Coeliac friendly ... change gloves etc. I always give them my toastie bags to toast my bun ... avoiding cross contamination.
Great service. Explained we are Coeliacs and we’re looked after with food prepared separately and fries from a dedicated gluten free fryer. Also catered for dairy free. Staff knowledgeable about Coeliac.
Excellent gluten and dairy free food available here. Dedicated fryer so we Coeliacs could have fries and fried courgette! Delicious too. Highly recommend although not all serving staff in this particular store know what Coeliac means.
Everything on the menu can be made GF (except the wheat buns)
Everyone at Grill'd is always so helpful with the menu choices and pretty much the entire burger menu can be adapted to accommodate various allergies/intolerances, including dairy and eggs as well as wheat/gluten.
No good for celiacs cross contamination
two choices of GF burger buns, low carb one is great. menu notes GF options.
Two types of GF burger buns - the low carb low GI one is thin and really good. Grill'd is a chain and located in many places.
Amazing gf burgers and chips :)
Gluten buns cooked on grill with gf food. Major contamination! Not coeliac friendly.
A great range of gluten free options and delicious burgers and chips
A little pricey, but has great gluten free options and their website provides a menu with all allergens and nutritional information.
Didn't eat here, just wanted to add the note that it's not celiac friendly. *We recommend that our Gluten-friendly options are suitable for people with a non-Coeliac gluten sensitivity. Gluten-friendly options may come into contact with traces of gluten."
Low-carb, gluten free bun is awesome!! Light and actually enjoyable.
Great service, buns are great tasting too.
Really nice gluten free burger buns and great tapioca-flour battered zucchini fries.
Fabulous food! Wonderful chips (fries) that are GF. Knowledgeable staff.
