Grinder’s is a really nice diner for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Locals eat here. It’s got a lot of tables over two “rooms” but they all get filled around peak times, and there’s not much room for a waiting line cause of the wait staff traffic. The wait staff are sweet and there appears to be some including cooks that have worked there a long time. The food is good, the menu is vast and basically delicious small town cooking, great authentic breakfast potatoes, tater tots are amazing, omelettes are classic egg crepe folded over the toppings you choose, BUT we asked about gluten free options and were told “we don’t have any gluten-free food here.” Same response after asked this question several years apart, so that’s a heads up to be very careful. They DO have some naturally gluten free foods on the menu but cross contamination risk seems high with the small shared cooking areas. No GF bread. No GF menu.
