I have gone here 2 times and have been glutened once. The first time I went there I ordered the barbecue wings however they brought out the asian BBQ wings after explaining that we couldn’t eat them because they weren’t gluten free they took them back to bring out the new wings. The next time they brought out the wings they were obviously the same asian BBQ wings that were brought out before. After asking to take them back once more they finally brought out the barbecue wings which were quite good. The second time I went there I ordered the same barbecue wings after confirming again that they were gluten free. This time they brought them out first time. Once again they were quite good however after getting through two wings I noticed that they were lightly breaded. I was glutened after that experience. Overall bad service and not celiac friendly. However the food is quite good.

My son was glutened terribly here!!! Service is not good either.

Went for the first time today. Very small amount of actual gluten free food. They have gluten free pancakes, and gluten free pizza crust. I asked for the Philly Cheese Steak pizza with the gluten free crust. It came out and seemed like the gluten free crust as it was flatter and crispy. I got the bill, and it did not have the extra $2 applied for the gluten free crust. I asked our waitress, and all she said is “oh, I must have not heard you” . I was very clear and she responded saying okay after I ordered, and my husband heard me say it as well. The crust was in fact not gluten free but the regular crust. Make sure to double check they wrote gluten free down and I would not trust coming here if your Celiac. They didn’t charge us for the pizza and they did make me a gluten free one to take home. But I have not gotten a sorry.
Grumpy Goat has a great gluten free menu! I’ve had brunch which included gluten-free pancakes and pizza for dinner. I have Celiac Disease and had no issues with cross-contamination

Very disappointed in a major respect. There was no GF menu available in the downtown Des Moines location. Very few options otherwise; staff did not seem overly concerned. Disappointing when you cannot eat what you are hoping for. The online menu is not revealing about availability in other locations. Does not appear celiac friendly in this location at least.

Grumpy Goat has a great gluten-free brunch and dinner menu including pancakes, sausage, and pizza. I have Celiac Disease and did not have any issues with cross-contamination. Reasonably priced for brunch but it’s somewhat expensive for pizza.
