Dined at Grunauer for the first time and will definitely return. The gluten-free menu offers several choices adapted from the regular Austrian/German menu. The most obvious adaptation is substitution of mashed potatoes in place of spaetzle. I had an enjoyable Hungarian beef gulasch in a slightly spicy paprika sauce and with mashed potatoes. The GF dessert was a flourless chocolate cake topped with chopped hazelnuts, resting in a bed of chocolate sauce, and with a large heap of whipped cream on the side (I consider it better than most flourless chocolate cakes). My wife, a non-celiac, had a delicious Traditional Schnitzel with potato and cucumber salad and, for dessert, a tasty apple strudel with a large heap of whipped cream on the side. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten-free. This is a mid-scale restaurant with superior service from a well-trained, professional staff.
