NEW: They now use WHEAT FLOUR tortillas for breakfast burritos. Wheat flour tortillas are prepared on the same grill as the GF corn tortillas. The website has not been updated to reflect this new gluten ingredient and is misleading about GF items in the kitchen. Guisados chain is not allergen aware and no longer safe for Celiacs. Sad because the tacos were really good!

I eat here whenever I go down to LA and have never had an issue. I don’t eat meat, so I get the veggie/vegan tacos. The food is delicious and the staff is helpful. Update: I believe the shrimp is not gf from what staff mentioned. I don’t order that but good to know.

I ordered 7 taco items off the menu and I got glutened pretty badly. I normally go to Honey Hi, but wanted to try something new. Don’t go here celiacs, only go to Hone Hi because Honey Hi doesn’t have gluten in their restaurant.

Only thing with gluten here in the shrimp taco. So good and the corn tortillas they use are PHENOMENAL. Will definitely go back next time I’m in LA.

Very tasty tacos. The corn tortillas were so delicious and thicker than most tortillas. This is a hidden gem in DTLA.

I haven’t had a restaurant quesadilla since being diagnosed with Celiac and this did not dissapointed! Almost everything is gluten free and the non GF items are clearly listed.

I come here all the time and it's very safe for celiacs. All items are gluten free except the shrimp taco. Very tasty -- I recommend the chorizo, cochinita pibil, and quesadilla. The melon drink is also very good.
Yes
Amazing place as everything is gluten free except the one shrimp taco. The Mole and Chorizo tacos are too die for. I have came here multiple times without any sort of sickness and I really look forward to coming back.

I ate here as soon as I’d touched down in LA. I hot super, super sick and was vomiting all night. I asked the lady at the counter a few times if they were gluten free and she said yes but also seemed uninterested. Would. It recommend!

Only one or two items are not gf - shrimp is one. Everything else is gluten free, lots of choice. Really excellent tacos. I recommend ordering "the sampler" - 6 mini tacos.
Update as of 6/10/24: They tell me the tamales no longer contain gluten - new recipe.

It's HARD to find a Mexican restaurant that mentions GF and has vegetarian options. This one checks both options. I felt confident in their GF claim because they specifically note which options are NOT GF, including one that seems to include soy sauce. If a restaurant declares it's soy sauce, I feel good about it. I didn't ask any questions about CC.
