One of the few restaurants with regional German cuisine in Heidelberg that offers a few safe, gluten-free choices, such as the pair of Pfälzer sausages with potato salad, mixed green salad and “Soße“ (not really a gravy in this case but an unthickened brown sauce). I liked this so much I had it twice in one week. My wife also enjoyed the typically Southern German Wurstsalat with Bratkartoffeln. There are one or two other options as well. Allergens are marked on the menu. One caveat: the restaurant is right on the way to the Steinerne Brücke (Stone Bridge) and is very popular. Come early (just before noon) if you want to be sure to find a seat. The second time we came around 1:30 and had to wait 30 minutes before a table outside became available.
