Just got back from a visit to Half Baked, and they are fantastic!! Delicious, safe options for anyone with Celiac, like myself. I’m extremely sensitive and have had their cupcakes twice with no reaction. They top the cupcakes fresh in front of you after you choose the base, and they’re very conscious about cross-contamination. Love love love this place!

Yes, they make great tasting GF items, but I made a special order for a red velvet cake and it had less than 10% cream cheese frosting. What little bit was there, was a TINY amount in between the layers. Their site said it would come with cream cheese frosting, but we were given regular frosting. Called to talk about it with the owner but she got defensive and was less than sufficiently helpful. She said that was standard, and that customers said it was "too much cream cheese frosting." I told her I've ordered from other GF bakeries and recieved entirely cream cheese frosting, and she said "maybe the other places dont make their cakes as well, and they need to cover it up with the frosting." Hahah... Unbelievable, especially for an $80 cake. Never buying from them again. I miss Buttercelli.
I visited this small bakery about a week ago, and I have to say that I was a bit hesitant because I had already ordered their gluten free cupcakes for a party, and was not a fan of them. Boy was I missing out, because their macarons are absolutely amazing. I know that macarons are usually gluten free, but when purchasing at a bakery or restaurant there's a high risk of cross contamination, not to mention a different baker who may add his or her own additional ingredients. I have tried the strawberry, chocolate, pistachio, salted caramel, peanut butter, and mint chocolate chip macarons. I was highly impressed by all of them except for the salted caramel and peanut butter. My favorites would definitely have to be pistachio and mint chocolate chip (they taste like thin mint Girl Scout cookies). The staff is also very friendly and super helpful. I enjoy going to this establishment even more because of that. I still wouldn't recommend the cupcakes, but the macarons alone are definitely worth the trip. Also, I've never had a reaction, and I am highly sensitive, so that's saying a lot.

Best gluten free cupcakes with vegan frosting that I have ever had!!! I stop by here at least 3x per month to get my cupcake fix. I would go there EVER DAY if I could :) I am not celiac, but allergic to gluten and dairy. I have had no reactions (I have skin reactions even with the slightest bit of gluten and dairy). The staff is so friendly and the cupcakes are delish!!
