Hammy's Pizza

At a hotel in Portland for a wedding and needed a late night meal. They were the only place open that delivered late, and they were recommended by the hotel as having gluten free pizzas and salads. All they had were personal sized pizzas so we ordered two and a garden salad with no croutons. When the food arrived, the salad was in a clear container and I could see it was loaded with croutons. When I politely mentioned it, the delivery man just shrugged and offered a half hearted apology while shoving the receipt in my hands to sign. There was no offer to refund my money, nor was there any attempt to make it right in any way. I then became worried about my pizzas, and so I asked about them to verify that they were gluten free. The man just shrugged again and said he was “pretty sure”. By that time I was so angry and frustrated that I simply took the pizzas and closed the door. I was having a sugar crash so I decided to brave it. Thankfully they were gluten free, as I didn’t have a reaction. Their sauce was tasty, but the crust was burnt and hard as a rock, and the toppings were so scant that I honestly don’t know what they were supposed to be. There was so little cheese that I could barely see it, let alone taste it. The pizza over all looked and felt like a large sauce covered, burnt saltine cracker only harder. My teeth now literally hurt from the hardness of the crust. All in all, I’m very glad that it’s unlikely I will be staying in this area of Portland in the future, because I absolutely would not be ordering here again. I have marked it as unsafe given their complete lack of care over whether my food was safe for me to consume.
