Review of Hana Sushi

I just went there yesterday and tried to order the rolls on the menu labeled GF. I told the waitress I had celiac so that the kitchen would be extra aware, and she asked me how sensitive I was. Sort of confused, I told her “I need it to be 100% gluten free.” She said that the kitchen had told her recently that the vinegar in all the rice is not gluten free, and the manager said that they “can’t be held responsible” for serving something absolutely gluten free.

I’m glad they told me, but I let them know that it was misleading because the menu labels certain rolls as GF. For some reason, they didn’t seem to understand the problem with labeling something GF while also saying those rolls are not completely GF. This is not even a cross-contamination issue - this is a matter of ingredients.

In short, can’t eat anything but edamame here!
