I am unsure of Harbourmaster. They had a dedicated gluten free menu with a good range of choices. Many of the options were just the main menu with the gluteny bits removed. Like I had baked haddock and chips instead of battered. My pudding, a pannacotta, was the same as my mums except the fun biscuity twill on top.
I don’t react badly to gluten but I am coeliac. I think there was gluten somewhere in the meal though as I had a rumbly stomach after.
I didn’t ask if there was a dedicated fryer for the chips or gluten free fried squid. I will investigate next time.
I’d say it’s a risk but they try hard to provide gluten free options. I’m not sure if they’re fully clued up about cross contamination and using different fryers. I didn’t quiz them on it though.
