We had such a fantastic experience! The menu is MASSIVE and I can get anything I want gluten free! I have to go back to try all the other meals i didn’t get to try this time! The head chef, Lori, came and checked on all her patrons regularly and explained to me how she has been diligent to remove even to possibility of cross contamination in her kitchen by not preparing anything with flour in the kitchen. No gluten touches the fryers, no flour is circulating in the air of the kitchen. All of the foods containing gluten come premade and pre packaged and are stored in the adjacent baking kitchen. (These items are still very good as my husband can attest.) it’s so relaxing and enjoyable knowing I won’t get sick from staff simply moving too quickly and making a mistake that results in me getting sick. Lori has really provided a lovely place enjoy meals with family and friends who have various dietary restrictions, including keto, vegan, and vegetarian.
What an incredible first experience! Came to pick up lunch for my parents today and customer service was the best I have had at a restaurant in years. From the hostess out front to Samantha that me with to go order everyone was over the top knowledgeable about celiac disease. I’m writing this waiting on my order, but if the soup samples are as good as the food it’s going to be an amazing meal! Either way this place just gained a regular the first time I walked through the door!
Literally one of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Nearly everything on the menu can be made gluten free. The staff is well trained and GF food is clearly labeled when brought to the table. The chef stopped by our table to check on us and answer any questions we might have. If you have the opportunity to go to this restaurant, please do! We will definitely be back.
We understand that dining out can be very stressful and unpleasant for people with gluten allergies and celiac. We ask everyone about their food allergies before they get a table. While our facility is not gluten free, we do not use wheat flour in our main kitchen or prep areas. Our fryers are totally gluten free. None of our soups, sauces or prep items in the kitchen contain gluten. Separate equipment is used when making our gluten free foods. Gluten free breads are not stored with gluten breads and we have a gluten free only toaster. We do everything we can to safely serve our GF community and are extremely cautious. Gluten free orders are inspected by a manager and marked with a gluten free food pick.

Visiting from upstate New York and he brought me here because 1) the food was amazing and 2) knew they did some gluten free. Little did he know that basically EVERYTHING vould be made GF! Chef Lori happened to be standing right inside when we walked in, where we were greated friendly and she took great care to let me knowI would be taken care of. I had the chicken, waffle, and eggs. I could not BELIEVE that I was eatting GF!! Some of the best food I have ecer had! We also had some GF mozzerella sticks--something I haven't had since I was diagnosed.

Wow, wow, wow!! We had such an awesome experience here! We were visiting from Austin and looked for a brunch close to where our local friends live (they are not GF) and where we could have a lot of options. Everything on the extensive menu could be modified gf. We were in heaven and the food did not disappoint... Our entire party loved every bite! The two of us who are GF had pigs in a blanket and spicy chicken and waffles. Chef Lori came by several times and brought us some mozzarella sticks since we were trying to experience food we don't normally get to order. She was sooooo hospitable and you can tell she loves feeding people and making them happy! Her super cute mom was even running the food and had such a beautiful smile every time we saw her go by. We definitely loved this place (which was also so cute inside) and recommend y'all give it a try. We'll be back for sure!
Harvest Kitchen & Bakery is my favorite new spot. Chef Lori has left nothing to chance for the celiac and gluten free population. I am still new to my restrictions, and most GF offerings almost everywhere are more expensive for less quality, less taste, less texture, and less joy.
My husband brought me here for my birthday to try it out as going out to eat has become so stressful. The food was so good I cried! I enjoyed the goat cheese waffle and added a crispy chicken strip with the chefs awesome hot sauce (just the right kick)… I was in heaven… It was the most delicious and satisfying meal I have had in over a year- the best part being that I felt like a normal person after, no stabbing pain or running to the bathroom after. The cinnamon roll is to die for as well.
I can’t thank Chef Lori and the staff enough for making it safe for me to enjoy food- it’s been a long time! Cross contamination doesn’t happen here, it’s not just the quality but the CARE.

This was an unexpected gem to find! Chef Lori is the nicest person I have met in a restaurant that caters to food allergies. Just a genuinely sweet lady. The ambiance was like down home southern whimsical fairy which was so lovely. The food is amazing! Everything can be made gluten free. The strawberry Nutella waffle was delicious and the fried hot chicken is something every gluten free person should try! Little bit of heat, juicy, and crunchy! Amazing. Don't miss this experience. Everyone here is lovely and will answer food allergy questions. You'll love it!
I loved it here, the cook is a very kind women and she informed me that they don’t use gluten in their kitchen. The fryer is safe and the bread is delicious!! Definitely recommend. My boyfriend got the GF biscuits and gravy and I got the pesto chicken sandwich :)

This is probably my favorite gluten free brunch place!! I have been diagnosed as Celiac for nearly 7 years now and never have trouble when I go to Harvest. The staff always checks for allergies at the counter and makes me feel safe that my food will be gluten free. There are so many meal choices from savory to sweet (even dessert!) and I always love coming here!!
We camped in Katy, TX, in 2023, and found this little gem. Lori met us at the door and was a delight! She was so excited to make us a new recipe of pancakes from the book Alaska by James A. Michener, gluten-free style! 🤩🥳 There are no words to describe those pancakes! We had to go back every morning until we went home to New Orleans, LA. We noticed how she made everyone feel special and how each gluten-free plate was treated so it was contamination free. We would travel back to Katy just to see Lori at Harvest Kitchen!! ❤
I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times. It’s by far my favorite restaurant in Texas for gluten free food. I truly appreciate the work this restaurant has done to serve our community and I consider myself blessed to have this amazing place in my hometown of Katy. Before I found Harvest, I had anxiety about going to restaurants and either feeling like I was a burden or like they really didn’t care or know how to protect me. After getting to know the people here and understand their processes, I look forward to the special times I’m able to come here and feel relaxed and just enjoy my experience. I’m not lying when I say, the whole experience is rather emotional for me and some of the food actually brought tears to my eyes. The food is without a doubt the most FLAVORFUL delicious gluten free food I’ve ever experienced in my life. Chef Lori is a true magician creatively layering beautiful natural flavors and textures. The combinations are simply incredible. The menu is VAST with the most GF choices I’ve ever seen ANYWHERE. Not even Disney comes close. The kitchen only uses rice flour for their fried chicken which is also egg and dairy free. All the soups, dressings and sauces are also gluten free. Best scratch made gluten free waffles ever. Also most delicious gluten free biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll and OMG the Monte Cristo Sandwich- I dream of this regularly. The place is beautiful. The people are amazing and so knowledgeable about allergies. Not only is this place safe for people with gluten intolerance like me, but is also one of the best managed restaurants (if not the best) I’ve ever been in. I’ve been a member of this app for about 6 months now and I finally decided to write this review. I’ve never known a restaurant to care this much about all the little details that make a meal safe and truly enjoyable.
Definitely use the waitlist before you go no matter what day you go. This place is always busy, but totally worth it. Their non GF offerings are also the best my family has ever had. They serve vegan, vegetarian and keto, which I have also tried GF and again all so delicious!
Don’t judge this place based on the fact it’s in a strip center. The moment you walk in, you’ll feel the enchantment and It will soon be your family’s favorite place to eat.
Got sick, food was also near flavourless - even spoke to the chef & was reassured strictly GF. $60 for brunch to spend 3 days recovering - will not be back.
Thank you for your feed back and response to my rating - this is not a personal attack, but simply an honest review. But this proves my point - stating a celiac has an allergy shows a lack of knowledge for the illness. It is an auto immune disease responsive to gluten. To poison us, all it takes is a crumb, a surface with cross contamination, someone not changing their gloves. It is easy to do. I have a 30 minute response as a refractory celiac - I am not confusing you with anywhere else. I even spoke to you directly as you were standing greeting people in queue as we ordered. Thank you for your hospitality and attempt to rectify this, but I will not be back and will not recommend.
Also thank you for making me aware of common practice - I am not from your country. Where I am from we have celiac foundation approval stickers on the windows and we contact them direct for these issues. But now I know for the future - appreciate it.
Emma, I am sorry that you had to deal with illness, but I believe you may be speaking about a different restaurant. What you have described here does not, in any way, describe our restaurant. It would be impossible for you to get sick if you had specified that you were gluten-free when you ordered your food. Other than our bread and tortillas which are kept totally separate, we do not have ingredients in the kitchen that contain gluten. You rated us 1-star on the following: Safety: 1. There is no wheat flour in our kitchen. 2. Our fryers are entirely gluten-free. 3. Every dish for a gluten-free client is inspected by a manager and then marked with a gluten-free pick. 4. We have separate equipment (including heating trays, toasters, waffle/pancake makers) & this equipment is located in an area that never has gluten present. 5. Our safeguards and stringent training allow us to safely serve over 3500 very happy gluten free customers per month. And these customers keep coming back because they know we care and Harvest is a safe place to eat. Taste: Harvest was voted Best Brunch in Houston. We continue to be a leader in our field by offering the most flavorful and exciting foods in the brunch business. Variety: We have the LARGEST variety of gluten free items of any restaurant in Texas. Our 14 page menu offers over 100 different items, ALL available gluten free!!! After reading the statements you made about our restaurant, it deeply concerns me that you never personally reached out to discuss your experience. If a person with a gluten allergy feels they have been infected by a restaurant, it is common practice to contact the restaurant owner or manager immediately to make them aware of the issue. This did not happen in your case. Had you contacted us we would have looked up your ticket and may have been able to understand what happened. If you ordered gluten free at the register, and received the food you ordered marked “gluten free “, then it is impossible for you to have received anything that contained gluten from our restaurant. Yet again so grateful for this site. Traveling to Katy and never would have known about this place. The reviews are spot on. Fantastic food, gf or not! Really high end, well balanced flavors.The wonderful chef came out to talk with us multiple times and explained that she is completely removed any flour from the kitchen because she not only wanted to offer gluten-free items, but she also wanted to remove any anxiety for those with food allergies. There is a separate bakery area that does have both gluten & GF items, But they are so educated about allergies. Gluten-free fryers. Highly recommend the magic mushroom Benedict! The ordering is different but they have it down and the food arrived so quickly!
As a gastroenterologist WITH CELIAC I am very happy to say that Harvest is the premier place in the region for Gluten Free dining. Terrific food and creates a very comfortable dining experience. Chef Pope is fantastic and answered every and all of our questions. Definitely login ahead but this place won’t be a secret for long. Our family is already craving Harvest again!
In our family of 5, 4 of us are Celiac. One of us gets very ill with any cross contamination so for the most part we do not eat out anymore. Our safe place to eat in the Katy area is Harvest Kitchen. None of us have ever had any sort of reaction when eating here. The food is AMAZING! Everything has so much flavor and you would never know you are eating gluten free. Before you even enter the door, any food allergy is noted by their staff. They have dedicated fryers and their whole staff understands Celiac and take it very seriously. The ambiance is on point for a breakfast, brunch, lunch spot! The owner and chef Lorie will literally do anything to make you happy and to have a wonderful dining experience. If you have Celiac, I promise you this is the place to go!
This place is a dream for anyone with Celiac! Everything here is completely gluten free upon request and they have dedicated tools and fryers. Right when you walk in the workers ask about allergies. They have so many options here and all have been amazing and I’ve never gotten sick.
Have ordered GF chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, French toast, pancakes. Everything I have ordered has tasted amazing and they take so much care and attention to food allergies. I have never had a reaction here and feel super safe eating here every time. There are so many GF options!
Chef Lori was amazing during a recent brunch with family. She took the time to explain their cross contamination protocol and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible and the staff were very knowledgeable on gluten free and celiac disease. Kids loved the food and we look forward to coming again.

Harvest Kitchen & Bakery is my absolute favorite restaurant! I cannot eat gluten or eggs (and many nuts). It's VERY hard to find a restaurant you can trust to ensure no cross-contamination! Most restaurants don't even know what gluten is, and when you say you need gluten-free, they look at you confused. This is not the case at Harvest Kitchen and Bakery. They will ask about food allergies before you even order and fill out a paper to notify the person who takes your order and the kitchen. They take food allergies seriously! Harvest Kitchen has a dedicated gluten-free fryer, so you can actually enjoyed fried foods! It's one of the few restaurants that has desserts that I can eat!! So, all of that is really nice and gives you peace of mind, but wait until you try the food! The food is off the charts amazing! There is not shortage of creativity, flavor, quality, or quantity in their food! Wait until you see the presentation. Everyone always takes pictures because each plate is a work of art! Trust me! Run, don't walk straight to Harvest Kitchen. If you are not in the Katy area, it's definitely worth the drive! Chef Lori truly cares and her staff will enthusiastically serve you and make you feel welcome.
Wow! Just wow! I have never felt so seen and valued as a customer with dietary restrictions! I’m gluten-free and dairy-free and there were SO MANY options!! Chef Lori even took the time to explain what was available that I could have. My husband and I even brought my grandparents here (they’re hard of hearing) and the music was a bit loud for them and Chef Lori made sure to have the music turned down for us too. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! If you have dietary restrictions, this is the place to go!

As a partner of a very sensitive celiac, I make many sacrifices in either price or quality of food for safety. Here that’s not a question, you get a reasonably priced delicious meal that both of us can enjoy with out rolling the dice of their comfort. PS if you must try something the GF waffles, pigs n a blanket and/or the mushroom morel soup are not to be missed.

I’m newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease + severe Lactose intolerance and I was truly sad at first…lost in what’s next?! Then I found Harvest Kitchen and Bakery 🥰 Not only is the owner Lori so wonderfully inviting but so is the food! The selections available for GF + V are MANY and their kitchen is dedicated to ensuring your order is prepared with care and attention. The best part is it is ALL so delicious 🤤!!!! For the first time in a year I have been able to enjoy a big breakfast and my day with no sickness 🥹 So so grateful to have found Lori & her Harvest Team in Katy!! I come at least once a week!
Love everything that they make but really appreciate their care towards those with food allergies. Love that I can get eat lots of foods that normally couldn’t enjoy that are gluten free.
I came on a recommendation from a gluten-free Facebook group that I am a part of. I am from the DFW area and it is very hard to find good food while traveling. I was in Katy, Texas for training with my company and wanting something to eat for breakfast the day that I was leaving. I got there, checked in with the hostess who asked me if it was my first time I told her yes she welcome to me with a big smile. Asked me if I had any allergy sensitivities gave her mine. She can give me a menu and a yellow piece of paper with my name on it Told me to walk inside and somebody would help me there. I walked in there were three lovely ladies one took my card the other got the little table number, and then she wrote my name on a little chalkboard thing for the table as well. My food was brought to me properly very eye appealing and I can tell you the first bite was amazing. I got the best gluten-free biscuits and sausage gravy that I’ve ever tasted. I even got some to go. I wished it was closer, but that again I would gain a lot of weight, I spoke with Chef Lori as I was leaving and explain to her that it was absolutely amazing and it was my first time she asked me my name, and then introduced herself and thanked me for the kind words and visiting asked me to please come back on in the area again.
Go here. It’s not dedicated but almost the whole menu is GF. I have never been to a non-dedicated gluten free restaurant that took more care than this one to understand food allergies of every single customer and prevent cross contamination. The chef personally waits in line and understand any allergy you might have and directs the right menu to you.
Food allergies aside, this place is just an incredible restaurant. Fantastic food!!! Super well run establishment and one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been to. Cannot recommend this enough.
