Very strange atmosphere (they had a DJ at 11am) and everyone was getting drunk. Very strange for a breakfast place and the food felt like bar/pub food. Very overrated and overpriced. I also really do not trust they are safe for celiacs. I got the tamale corn cakes and did not get sick (I’m extremely sensitive) but I would not have dared order the other things. Great place if you want to get drunk before noon but not breakfast
Not safe for celiac. Their “gluten free” pancakes and waffles are made on the same surfaces as the regular foods. All the meat and potatoes are cooked on surfaces with wheat so those aren’t safe- they don’t have gf bread- only thing you can potentially safely eat is eggs. Be careful.
So I ordered takeout today I got cannoli gluten-free pancakes. They were not gluten-free they’ve had a cannoli on top the shelves here and whoever makes orders they don’t care if you have food allergies don’t waste your time going to the hash kitchen or the other restaurant Sicilian Butcher the chefs don’t care
Ordered GF pancakes and they were not GF at all. I am not Celiac but I had a very strong reaction to it. I have been sick for the past 2 days because of it. Be aware! They list "gluten free" as an option but do not take any precautions and seems that the cooks don't even care what the request is. Awful experience!!
I want to give this restaurant 5 stars because of how amazing our waitress was. I asked her a ton of questions regarding the gluten free options, and she took the time to check on a few things for me. When she returned, she was full of knowledge, and let me know that although the items read "gluten free", they are all cooked and prepared on the same surfaces as the gluten products. Cross contamination cannot be controlled. If you do not have Celiac, and are choosing to eat gluten free, you'd be fine. Celiac unfortunately no. Their menu looks so amazing for non dietary restriction! Amazing atmosphere, live DJ, and super nice waitresses.
