We wanted to try a different restaurant in OBX last week. Based on revews from Find Me GF, we went to Hatteras Sol. When we asked the hostess (tall blond lady) if they had GF items on their menu she simply handed us a menu, without even looking at us, saying: You figure it out!! We stayed for a drink and left. Bad vibes😏 Went back to the Breakwater Inn near by which was excellent👌🏼

We visited the Outer Banks in February (way way off season!), and with just the business from the year round residents, they were busy - great indication of how good the sandwiches are!! The GF buns are awesome - and I do mean awesome. I had an avocado BLT with basil mayo (gluten and lactose friendly), they have a vinegar / mayo based potato salad also GF and lactose safe. Small place, only a few tables, but awesome place to grab to go (we did eat in), super friendly and wonderful even with being really busy and short handed. Very highly recommend! My husband (also GF) had the club sandwich which he enjoyed and agreed the bun was one of the best we've had (I was forced to go GF over 5 years ago). High highly recommend for grabbing lunch!!
