I called before I ate in this establishment and was told that cross contamination was taken seriously and allergies were well understood.
When I arrived, I ordered the only fish on the menu that was available. It arrived with. 2 pieces of fried dough on top. I inquired as to whether they were gluten free and then was told ,"No , but the rest of the dish is fine. Those always come on the dish,. But just take those off. The rest is fine."
I tried to explain that the dish wasn't ok for me, but he'd already grabbed a napkin from another table to remove them himself.
I asked to cancel my order and said I wouldn't be eating. The waitress then followed up and seemed genuinely confused as to why I couldn't just take the fried dough off of my food.
This establishment seems to know what to say to make it seem as of they understand allergies, but I strongly warn anyone with celiac against eating here.
