Excellent tasting food! Never ever a GF problem so you can rest assured! Seafood is so luscious. Tacos are great. Sometimes I order the chicken strips, which are fabulous. Their fries are out if this world, hot and perfect.

Crab pepper cheese soup is amazing! It's worth going just for that. I poured some of it over my fish tacos like a sauce. Delicious. Gf beer batter is good. Loved all the food. I highly recommend going. Left very happy.

Dedicated GF. Good food but mostly fried. They had onion rings! Four stars instead of five because the fried things dropped grease.

Boy, can’t remember the last time I had fish and chips and clam strips! Fantastic. Everything on the menu is GF. My wife is not celiac (I am) and we both loved everything. We were there for happy hour and that was great. They also had local Groundbreaker beer. I recommend and will return!

Wow! Clam strips were awesome, and I couldn’t believe all the gf choices - EVERYTHING!

Outstanding. My sister took me (the newly-diagnosed celiac) and our other sister there for my birthday. It was wonderful being able to order anything on the menu with zero worries, and it was all so good! The wait staff was great - cheerful, engaged, and attentive with great timing. Fun atmosphere, good portions, fresh and well prepared and nicely presented. Honestly, it's really good.

Everything was GF. Which I really appreciate. BUT the batter was not great and the fish was really tough and chewy. Not sure if it was over cooked or just bad? I wouldn’t go here again though.

Delicious food, down to earth vibe. Great place for celiacs to bring along non-celiacs and everyone leaves happy and full!

Dedicated gluten free except for beer and packaged crackers for to-go orders. They have separate dedicated hoses for the cider and gluten-free beer. Tasty fish, and makes me feel like I’m back home in the Midwest!

10/10 GLUTEN FREE CHEESE CURDS. GLUTEN FREE CLAM CHOWDER. GLUTEN FREE BEER. 100% GLUTEN FREE MENU. Kind, knowledgeable staff and not pretentious at all. Low key, dive bar feeling with delicious gluten free food. Non-gluten free people agree to its amazingness. Also, super affordable. Absolutely obsessed.

They know GF (and the Green Bay Packers). Fish and chips and good pub food. There is gluten on premises (beer) but one of our family has celiac and we are all intolerant and have never had a problem. Always friendly. The fish tacos and the salmon fish and chips with sweet potato fries are my favorites but they have standard fish and chips and burgers and other menu items as well. Family friendly but full bar.

Incredible service and the food is AMAZING. Typical sports bar fare and a wide variety of fish with plenty of GF drink options. Unpretentious and so friendly. One of my absolute favorite GF restaurants in Portland.

My favorite gluten free restaurant in PDX. Delicious fish tacos, delicious batter on the fish, and try the Thai slaw!

Amazing! Entire gf restaurant!!!! Gf beer on tap even! I ordered fish (both beer battered & lightly breaded) sweet potato fries, clam chowder. Would return often if I lived here! Excellent waitress & food. Highly recommend.

Love this place and the food is so good. I've been 3 times and every time I get the fish and chips and onion rings. I keep saying I will try something else but love fish and chips and haven't found any where else that I can get them. Highly recommend this place. Oh, and the clam chowder is the best too.

the fish and chips are phenomenal, as is the cheesy pepper crab soup! I love that I can pick anything I want on menu and not have to worry about getting glutened. this location has better service than the location on Corbett (the menu is identical).

I've eaten here a few times and never have had any problems. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and casual. The only thing to complain about is that I was told everything is GF and they asked if I wanted crackers with my soup. But then brought out regular, wheat, oyster crackers. they were pre-packaged and labeled with ingredients so I didn't eat them, just thought it was strange they would have them in the restaurant.

Just moved to town and can definitely tell I'm gonna be a regular. The service was great (easy ordering over the phone), the guy I dealt with was really friendly, and they take all requests seriously. The whole place is GF but I asked for other allergies to be worked around and they did it to perfection no questions asked. The best seafood restaurant I've been to for Celiac and health concerns.

Everything on the menu is GF. Not all of the adult beverages are GF. I had batter fried cod and onion rings. They were very good. I have missed having them. My friend had chicken strips. Both were generous portions. We finished our meal with carrot cake. Very yummy. We got there about 5:30p. By the time we left there was a wait to be seated. Beware - the parking is nearly non existent!

The Hawthorne Fish House is kind of greasy and I wouldn't say that it has the very best food, but I am so grateful that we have it in Portland. Their clam chowder and tuna melts are particularly delicious. My father in law can't get enough of the oyster shooters when he visits from New York.

On a weekend trip to Portland, my fiancé and I checked this place out. It was the best stop of the trip! I love that I could trust it to be GF. It was top notch quality and the idea that it was ALL GF was so comforting!

Fun little hole-in-the-wall pub. Very laid back and simple decor. Perfect for lunch or a no-fuss dinner out. The prices were reasonable and everything is gluten free (Give the gluten free beer batter a try!). If you walked in not knowing you would think it was just a regular fish house. My gluten eating husband loved it as much as I did.

Truly amazing! I haven't had fish and chips or fried calimari in 7 years! The second time I went there, the waiter remembered me and brought me the beer I had ordered the first time I was there. Desserts were wonderful too. Gluten free heaven! Go here!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I was nearly in tears when the server told me there wasn't a special GF menu--everything on the menu is GF! The food was good and the dessert (coconut rum torte) was fabulous. It was so nice to go out to eat and feel like a "normal" person.

the food quality is uneven...I've had really good fish n chips one visit, and limp, overcooked, flavorless fish the next.service is basic, definitely not service or food oriented.really nice patio.food is heavy on salt, mayo, etc.if it wasn't so celiac safe i'd give it a solid 3 stars.
