I got very sick after eating here. They were not very sure of gluten free and their marked GF stuff is not guaranteed to be cross contamination free.
Love the butternut squash hash for breakfast. They will also give you fruit cup instead of toast. Decent GFree breakfast.
an ever shrinking menu, got gf bread but no gf burgers listed just a veggie burger
Quite good. Nice place for a family gathering. Gluten free menu is average. Happened to order the salmon and it was fine. Was surprised a bit by being able to order baked beans.
Despite advertising had very limited gf options. Have had good experiences in the past but waitress knew nothing about gluten free, and on a slow night was unhelpful in finding substitutions, she and upper management were unwilling to discuss or explore options to make any of their menu items GF.
Honestly the absolute best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had. I’m sure there was cross contamination but if you’re not too sensitive you’ll be fine. Ate them twice. Once perfect and once undercooked. Still dreaming of them.
I had the oatmeal pancakes and potato cakes with eggs. No reaction. The waitress clued me in that they do not have a dedicated toaster, so she subbed the pancakes! Food was good but more on the diner side than an upscale brunch. That was just fine. I'll be back!
We came here because of the gluten free breakfast options for my 4 year old nephew with celiacs. His mother ordered him the gluten free pancakes, his dad double-checked with the waitress that this is gluten free. The waitress said gluten free pancakes when my nephew was served. We are for 5 minutes and a chef ran out with another plate of pancakes saying that the ones my nephew had been served were not gluten free. Come on, now. Don’t bother coming here if you have celiacs. They aren’t as careful as they claim to be. Plus, the food isn’t that great anyway.
The waitstaff was great, kitchen not so much. They have GF toast listed on the menu but upon asking there is not a dedicated toaster. Also when our breakfast came out the plate had bacon on it, which was not ordered. Having something “extra” come out on your plate is a huge red flag! The waitress noticed and brought the whole plate back to the kitchen without us saying a word, she was great.
Gluten-Free Multi Grain Toast is great, as are the GF oatmeal pancakes. And, the waitress ensured toast wasn't buttered to avoid cross contamination. Eat fat though. The place is covered in knat or fruit flies. 🤢
My wife and I stopped by for breakfast and I had the oatmeal blueberry pancakes and they were terrific. They clearly state in their menu that the products they use are GF but the facility is not. Staff was also very personable.
The service here was awful. It took 40 minutes to get 2 omelets and they were both cold. The order was inaccurate and undercooked. When we asked for it heated more it turned into a dried out pile of eggs with some toppings thrown in--not a real omelet. When we told management of the poor service they said they could give us a gift card but we won't be returning.
Not many choices for dinner entrees. However I had grilled salmon and it was fantastic! Most of the side dish choices were gf too. We went on a Monday and there was a balloon artist making things for the kids.
I ordered a vegetable sandwich which they made on a gf roll. Only side I could have was butternut squash as all others were on shared equipment and I cannot have that. Service was good, staff was knowledgeable and priced good. Just be sure to ask questions because once again French fries are normally gf but not if fried in a shared fryer.
Hearth ‘n Kettle has been serving up made-from-scratch New England favorites since 1973. Since then, they've expanded to include three locations in the Cape Cod area, all serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu at Hearth ‘n Kettle features over 25 gluten-free options – just look for the "GFP" symbol. However, still be sure to speak with your waiter when ordering, so they can point out other options on the menu that can easily be made gluten-free. Hearth ‘n Kettle also offers gluten-free bread and rolls for sandwiches and burgers! With three locations to choose from, there's bound to be a restaurant near you!
Great place for GF.......My wife ate there 2 days in a row and got a great GF sandwich and she loved it and had no issues......We have been doing GF for over 10yrs now and know when a place is good and it was GREAT !!!!
Horrible customer service, the server was clueless about gluten allergy, and we found out why the tables were so thickly sticky when we saw the buser swipe a table once with a dirty cloth.
The "gf" pancakes are made on a shared griddle and the "gf" bread is toasted in a shared toaster. I gave it 2 stats because some entrees and omelets might be ok but ask lots of questions. Fries and hash browns are listed as gf on menu but ate also made on shared equipment.
My absolute favorite place to eat for breakfast. The harvest pancakes are amazing and they have a big GF menu. The Yarmouth location is the best to go to. They all know me and my husband there and are all so nice and bend over backward for you. It's a small New England chain that's better than it's rap. There is room for cross contamination but I've never gotten sick here.
Apparently the locals refer to this place as the "barf and spittle". Colorful but accurate description. The food was gross and the restaurant and facilities were dirty. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
