Review of Hearthstone Bistro

First of all this place is more like $$$ NOT $ We were from out of town and visiting the area and used this app to find someplace for lunch. This place had great reviews and one $ so we stopped. We had 3 adults plus a senior citizen in a wheel chair and 18 month old needing a high chair. The manager did not seem very welcoming said she had nothing though I could see an empty table. The hostess suggested a table. There wasn't any line it and it didn't seem very busy, but we waited to be seated just the same. I ordered a gluten free sandwich stacked turkey and bacon with sweet potato fires off the GF menu. Waitress came back to ask if it was ok if fries were fried in same vat as gluten foods! NO! It's NOT! Don't put it on your GF menu if it is really not GF! So I got the chips. The GF bread was super dry, tasteless, and crumbly and made it difficult to eat the sandwich. It was a big sandwich and I could only eat half. I asked to have the other half wrapped to go. The waitress put my GF sandwich in same container as my mothers non GF bread rolls! So guess the dog gets the other half of my pricey GF sandwich! I am willing to pay $$$ for good food and great service, especially if I know ahead of time it is a $$$ place. But I don't feel I got either today.
