Such a fantastic experience!! :–D Heirs Pears was closed for a private staff event when we arrived, but (understanding, I think, how hard it can be to find gluten free restaurants!) they very kindly made an exception and let us in! The food was DELICIOUS (we got the pizza—sooo good) and everyone was so friendly and kind. I felt so lucky to get the chance to eat here…can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town!!

It is a great option for celiacs but I will say, it is quite expensive. I don’t like how I am paying as much as I would at a night out at a restaurant like cactus club eating a quick bite at heirs pears. Paid around $27 after tax and tip for a bagel and muffin is quite ridiculous

Great little place with friendly service and tasty food made with quality ingredients. All-day breakfast. I had a salmon omelette and wished I had enough time in the city to try the rest of their menu.

Note that as of this writing, the hours listed on their web site are actually wrong, so if you're wanting to eat near the beginning or end of their day I suggest you call to confirm.

The food is excellent and the service phenomenal. We arrived and they were prepping to close early but the chef insisted that we order and eat there. Not to mention that the internet whole place is gluten free is a huge worry off when eating out. Thanks for making our last night in Vancouver.

It’s all gluten free which is great, they only had a brunch menu available at lunch time Saturday. I got the pancake stack because I thought that would be good not matter what, but the pancakes were dry. I’m not sure how to make dry pancakes. And they weren’t very warm. Quite disappointing.

Funky little place: get menus and order drinks from the counter, once ready to order return to counter & pay. Get a number for your table. Chef brought the food himself. Absolutely fantastic food (three of us, I was only celiac) we all enjoyed. Highly recommend!!

AMAZING dedicated gluten free restaurant that I recommend anyone in Vancouver to go to. Have breakfast, brunch, salads, coffee and bakery items. The owner is the main chef there and was super friendly and checked in to see how we were doing multiple times. Best gluten free toast ever - even my non-GF family members said they couldn’t tell it was gluten free. I ordered the heir pear and ate every last bite. Portions were very generous and service was fast.

Went for late lunch on Sunday, only brunch and breakfast options but misunderstood and was accomadated well. Pick your own seat and order at counter. Everything on menu GF and food was tasty. Got duck burger and heirs pears, chai latte and ginger cookie. Nice big windows.

We had an amazing meal here and Sam (owner and chef) was just fantastic. My daughters can’t have gluten and were thrilled to be able to choose from the whole menu. What a wonderful spot!

Went for the first time today, so figured I’d get the eponymous the heirs pears. Everything was fantastic! Loved the hollandaise and potato cakes they serve the Benny on - great idea. Also, they have Glutenberg Rouge (dark ale) - one of the harder ones to find and my favourite GF beer.

My wife and I split the veggie omelette, which came with GF toast and a nice green salad with yummy honey mustard vinaigrette. It was really amazing! Nice coffees and assortment of teas, too. The surprise star was their homemade strawberry jam!

You’d love this place even if you didn’t have to eat GF. Good food. Nice people. Oh… and check out the baked goods in the cabinet!!

Fully gluten free restaurant with a range of dishes and sweet treats, had a nice meal there..the chocolate donut had so much cinnamon though that it was too spicy to finish!

I love this cafe! They have some of the best coffee in the neighbourhood. I can eat breakfast without worry of cross-contamination and the staff are super friendly and accommodating! Great pancakes and my non-celiac partner even enjoys the breakfast bowl, it’s not easy to find places that suits both our tastes. :)
