Hello Stranger Cafe

This place is not safe. My wife has severe gluten and nut allergies. She informed the restaurant of this as she placed her order for the breakfast hangover burger and they brought her out a burger with a non-gluten free bun. Thankfully, we asked if it was gluten free and they said no, apologized, and re-made the order quickly. She ate the remade order, and then we went for a hike. Halfway into the hike, she developed hives and her throat began closing. We called 111 and got her an ambulance and everything ended up okay, but if you have severe allergies do not go here.

Most of the food is GF (though some items share a cabinet with muggle food), the staff are mostly up with the play, and the food is DELICIOUS! I got a filled cheese scone to have for my lunch later that day, and it was outstanding. Good coffee too.

This place was amazing and I’m so sad they weren’t open for dinner. I came here twice, once got fish and chips, and another time got a salad with chicken tenders to go plus a few desserts. The staff were very helpful on gluten free items and had a separate area for making meals. Everything was delicious and I’d go back again if I could!

Also a seperate fryer for chippies and most of the menu can be made celiac friendly

Amazing cafe. Extensive gluten free menu. Very celiac aware with dedicated GF fryer and very knowledgeable staff. Kitchen has a separate area for preparing GF foods. Menu updated and now 95% of menu can be made GF

Very celiac friendly. No gluten allowed in the fryer. Tons of tasty gluten free options. We got gf fish and chips and pork belly burger. Both delicious.

They have separate friers, have lots of options. Even better they don't just have almond cakes. They had keto options plus a custard tarts etc. Definitely worth a go!
