This place is amazing! Super friendly and informed staff, I get the chicken, chips and garden salad at least once a week! Everything is gluten free so it’s one of my safe spaces for cross contamination, a plus is it’s super yummy!! Would recommend to everyone

We aimed to go here but when we thought that the seating was only outside we didn’t go to this take out but so we explored further into the Market going elsewhere but then discovered that there is freely available inside seating on first floor of market for anyone purchasing food from any store Or take out. Had we been aware of this - we could have bought from Herba and taken it inside and upstairs to find an inside and warm seats and table. So I recommend you try Herba and be aware that you can go into the market to find a warm inside place to sit and eat.

Fantastic! All meals are gluten-free so no cross-contamination risk. I had the falafel which were very tasty. The half-and-half salad and chips option is great. We liked it so much that we came back the next day too on a recent trip to Christchurch! :)

This place is awesome! Inside Riverside Markets. Everything is GF so no worries at all as a coeliac. Many salad options, even hot chips!

It's in a very cool food hall in Christchurch. You can pick your options. The fried fish wasn't very heavy, which was perfect for a warm day in the city.

The sides were all really good, too. There was a long line but my food was ready faster than expected. Worth the wait regardless!

Lived up to all the hype!

Hard to decide what to have, all the proteins and salads sounded delicious. Couldn’t go past hot chips too which were beautifully seasoned with homemade tomato sauce.

They are in the centre of Christchurch mall so while it was busy I only needed to wait 10 minutes for my food. A wait is worth it as their food was AMAZING!! I had the fish, chips and beetroot and feta salad. I wish I took a photo but it was too delicious it was gone before I thought about it. I will be back if I have time before my flight out.

I had the chicken tenders with two different salads & it was all amazing. The other dishes looked great too. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Christchurch! Would definitely recommend the Riverside Market in general too - plenty of options to choose from to keep everybody happy.

We tried a variety of plates... Falafel, beef brisket, chicken tenders (real chicken breasts), home made fries & a few salads. Beetroot option is a stand out. General seating outside markets if the weather is fine. Highly recommend!

Dedicated gluten free restaurant! I got the chicken tenders with chips and kumara ribbons, which was delicious. It was a substantial meal (I couldn't finish all of it), and the chips were amazing, perfectly crispy and soft.

The food was overpriced - $31 for a chicken salad, fries and a can of drink. I could’ve lived with that but it was all extremely bland, and the chips were mushy and tasteless. The chicken was overcooked and tough, and broke the flimsy wooden fork they gave me. It all needed salt and some more seasoning. Really disappointed as i had high hopes and love a good salad.

This is a fantastic place in Riverside Market with excellent food and Coeliac Society Dining Out Programme accreditation. I am always tempted by the herb crumbed fish, kumara ribbons and beetroot salad but there are lots of other appetising GF options, including vegetarian. Thoroughly recommended!
