Food is very good. People there are so helpful and knowledgeable. One guy walked me through the menu (it isn’t marked GF). I had no issues with gluten, no reaction, and what I ate was good…. but I found the menu to be very limited, more so than some of the other reviewers said. I was told no sauce, no sausage, no ribs, no pork belly, and no side dishes except for the chips and cheese. Great spot but with celiac I would prefer to go to another BBQ joint with some more options.
Such a great experience here. I let them know I have Celiac and they were fantastic with protocols. They change gloves, get a new knife, fresh uncut meat and a new cutting board. The beans are no longer gluten free. Most of the meats & coleslaw are. Will definitely return!!
They’re open until 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays now, so we had dinner on Swallows day. The mustard is gluten free and was delicious on the chicken. Everything was great and don’t skip the pickled veggies.

Excellent experience for a celiac at Heritage BBQ. Person taking our order was very aware of what was gf and not (sauces are not). The person cutting the meats changed gloves, used fresh knives and started new pieces of meat to avoid any cross contamination. All of this is done in front of you to aid in your level of comfort. Food goes without saying was delicious. Highly recommend.
Woodfired, barbecue meats that are gluten-free: beef or pork ribs, chicken, brisket, pulled pork and homemade sausage!
BBQ sauce is not GF.
Coleslaw and beans are safe. Staff was very helpful in guiding celiac safe order. (Take out or Bring your own BBQ sauce)
