Review of Heroic Italian

Gluten free Italian sandwiches. The gluten free sandwich scene in San Francisco is lacking, and this new restaurant fills a much needed hole: elevated sandwiches with gluten free options.

The sandwiches are delicious I love the OMG, there is a lot of flavor and a good a balance of ingredients.

But what is special about this place is the gluten free bread, it’s GOOD gluten free bread not that stuff that is tiny squares and crumbles when you eat it, I’m talking gluten free baguettes. I didn’t think to ask but I would guess they get them from mariposa baking.

I didn’t ask about the toaster either but I asked if he could make the gluten free sandwich in a separate or cleaned area and they were happy to accommodate. Just ate the whole thing and feeling great so far :)
