Highlands Smokehouse has amazing chopped pork! The other 2 items I have had that are GF are coleslaw and potato salad. Many choices if they would use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce! I encourage others to recommend the switch to open up GF choices! I take my own GF bbq sauce:) They do have a menu with all ingredients listed so you can see what options there are based on your allergens.

Great pulled pork, pulled chicken, and ribs. Good selection of sauces including Eastern NC (vinegar), Western NC (a sweet tomato based one), mustard based SC?), and a Texas sauce. Excellent Brunswick Stew, which oddly enough is not GF at some other BBQ restaurants we’ve tried. Very good sides, non-gluten sensitive family members enjoyed the hush puppies and Mac and cheese. Good service and plenty of outdoor seating.

Really great small bbq place!! There’s not a ton of options for gluten free (no fried food), but they have all the basics available. All meats (pulled pork, chicken, ribs) are gluten free and they even have gluten free Brunswick stew! I had the 2 meat combo with collards and Cole slaw and it was great. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxed night with nice outdoor seating.
