Hillbilly Hot Dogs

So good, so well-versed in how to take care of my celiac family! They even made us chili cheese fries with shredded cheese because the sauce is made with a flour roux. They source their own hot dogs, make most things from scratch, and if you call ahead they can even try and ensure a contamination-free fryer for your French fries.

Will definitely go off the beaten path for this place again!!

Their website and menu didn't indicate that they had gf options, but my husband wanted to stop and I was content to let him eat. When we got to order, the worker asked if I was sure I didn't want anything and I said no, because I was gluten free, to which she responded that they had a gf bun and could safely take care of me! I got the West Virginia on her recommendation, and she also said that if you message them on FB in advance, they will actually clean their fryers and make sure to have a dedicated one for fries that day!

The hotdog itself was delicious, and the bun actually held up really well!

Hot dogs were GF. Sauce was also safe. GF bun was available. She said sometimes they do a dedicated fryer, but it was a busy weekend, so it was not available today. My hotdog and slaw ( buckeye dog)was great. No reaction. The atmosphere is what makes this place. Was not able to find any info about GF online, so decided to try it anyway.
