One of the first things the server asked was if anyone had any food allergies. He was very knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free. I have a shellfish and sesame allergy and he double checked with the manager, head chef, and even looked up in the cook book to make sure the chicken fried rice wasn’t made with sesame oil (it’s cooked in soy/veggie oil). He was constantly checking in to make sure I liked everything. I ordered the sweet potato fries, chicken fried rice, and an avocado roll and felt great after! I actually got four meals out of the fried rice so beware the portions are huge
I’ve never been to a Japanese restaurant that sourced a GF imitation crab mix to make sushi rolls available to Celiac people like me!! Super impressive. And our server (Megan) was great! She wasn’t terribly aware of gluten issues but was helpful in getting her manager who was very knowledgeable, and she was 100% open to learning to serve other people better.
First time having sushi since getting diagnosed with celiac. They had tons of options, server was extremely knowledgeable, brought out separate plating and more! No reaction. I tried a few rolls and an entree. Gluten free options are clearly marked on the menu. I will be going back.
Today I went for lunch and ordered Chicken and broccoli. Mt NIMA ended up testing positive for gluten so I sent it back. they were super nice about remaking my food, but I didn't have a second capsule so I wouldn't eat it, so I got my second meal to go... they didn't even comp my meal, which I found odd.... Left very hungry! :(
