Hitana Restaurant

We were here for a number of hours, pre dinner drinks and then dinner, I was hoping for a snack or starter but after asking multiple staff about gluten free options, as they did not have a gluten free menu, we did eat here, I wouldn’t recommend for choice’s as there were only 2 options lamb rack or steak, I chose the lamb rack it was served with a mash, 2 chops and banana leaf, my non gluten free husband ordered the same his came with 2 chops, mash, steamed vegetables and a jus. When I queried the steamed vegetables the waiter informed me that vegetables are not gluten free only banana leaf. It was a nice venue and I did not get sick.

Limited options but the staff seemed to understand quickly what we were asking. They had a separate area on the menu for gf options.

This is the restaurant at the hotel I’m staying at. Talked with the chef and handed him my gluten free card. Was very nice and informed all the staff who I was, my room number, and how long I’d be there. Sent a waiter down specifically for us to take care of me. Wasn’t expecting a GF menu but they had one! Good options for dinner. I’m looking forward to trying their breakfast and seeing what options are available since it’s included in our room.
