Wonderful experience. Are here twice on vacation. Both servers were knowledgeable, and there are lots of GF options. The food was delicious. Reservations recommended, and they close seasonally.

Outstanding dining experience. Crab dip/scallops for appetizers, bacon wrapped chicken, swordfish, and crab cakes as mains. Crème brûlée and lemon sorbet for desert. Server knowledgeable. All absolutely delicious.

Great place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff was great and took allergies seriously. I had the filet with cream sauce and it was delicious.

This place was great! The GF items were clearly marked on the menu and were, comparatively speaking, plentiful. The server seemed knowledgeable, though I honestly didn't feel a need to ask any questions based on how refined the restaurant and menu were. They offer GF beer, too! I had beef carpaccio, house salad, crab cakes w/ green beans and an upgrade to au gratin potatoes, and creme brulee. Zero issues and everything was amazing.

The Hobbit came recommended to me by a Celiac friend who said this was her go to when eating out. There are GF items marked on the menu and they have a great rep among the GF community. I ate the Caesar salad, crab cakes, potatoes and green beans with no issues or symptoms 24 hours later. The only thing I’ll say is that our waiter wasn’t knowledgeable about what was and wasn’t GF, so I would have been really uncomfortable eating here had the kitchen staff not been very well a-tuned to cross contamination and had I not read so many great reviews. The staff were super friendly

This is our favorite place to go out to eat in Ocean City. The manager is extremely knowledgeable, and they have an excellent allergen protocol. I highly recommend the hobbit over any other restaurant solely for their safe gluten free food.

This was an upscale dining experience; you must have reservation to get in. The menu was clearly marked with GF. We got this great cheese dip and I just brought my own cracker to eat with it. I had two great appetizers as my meal, the scallops and lamb chops and they were fantastic! No boring gluten free food here. The service was impeccable and they had great desserts for the family. They have a beautiful view at sunset. It is pricey though, but we thought it was worth it.

I have a nima gluten sensor, I ordered the brick chicken and it came out with "contains gluten. The staff was very nice and tried again making a crab cake, again the test came out "contains gluten" at that point I gave up eating there :(

My son & I (both Celiac) love The Hobbit! It’s a little pricey but the food is marked GF & care is excellent; so worth it. We’ve had the Filet topped with crab imperial, crab cakes, duck with Truffle Creamed Peas (& I don’t usually care for peas), Smoked Beef Carpaccio & Lollipop Lamb Chops (a meal all by itself with salad!). & Creme Brûlée (that’s your standard GF dessert). My son is extremely sensitive! All excellent & no side effects!

100 percent coming here again! My husband has celiacs disease and is very sensitive, even to cross contamination. We felt so safe here! The restaurant is a bit on the fancy side so that helped with the kitchen and prepping! Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and allergies- it appeared all the servers were. The menu is clearly marked but he said they could alter most items to make it gluten free if we asked. My husband ended up ordering a special of the night- the server let us know it was gluten free and immediately knew what side would need to be changed because of gluten and the drier without us even asking. The menu isn’t huge but they had a decent amount of options. They even had a few appetizers and a few desserts that were safe- which is rare! We were so pleased and will definitely be eating here again.

Excellent care taken for our two Celiac daughters. Gluten free crab cakes and mashed potatoes were delicious as was the filet with crab imperial! Creme brulee was a nice touch too.
Highly recommend! Delicious and best of all, no one got sick afterwards. Win-win.

Best restaurant I’ve been to in Ocean City and very accommodating for celiac. Fine dining, romantic views of water- excellent!!

Our waiter was great and very helpful with the gluten free options. The menu is clearly marked - I got the wedge salad and split the crab cakes and special of the day with my husband. I was even able to order desert. Beautiful view too!

Food is excellent and they have a sensational bay view for sunset. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. Pricier, but well worth it for a lovely night out. They do have gluten free crab cakes. Only gf dessert is crepe brûlée, but plenty of appetizer and entree options.
Yes
portions were great food was amazing but the deserts were small and it was very expensive
