Hodgie's Ice Cream

Recently brought my daughter here for ice cream while visiting family. Upon looking at the menu, I noticed they had gluten free cones. Being a slow day, I decided to take the time to ask some questions. They explained that they have specific education in preparing all allergies especially gluten free. Clean hands, cleaned allergen scoop, ice cream from fresh container in back. After having a rather lengthy conversation and then being patient enough to answer all my questions, I decided to give it a try. Happy to report I did not get sick, and the ice cream was delicious- even had an ice cream cone I could eat! Brought a litte bit of ice cream home for myself and some for my husband (not gluten free) and they verified that I wanted the gf ice cream separate from the one that wasn’t specifically prepared as allergen friendly. The only thing I wish is that they had a specific list of gluten free flavors. They were just able to tell me verbally what was available- which consisted of most anything that wouldn’t obviously contain gluten. Oh- and the ice cream was delicious!
