The gluten free bun they gave me was moldy. They took 50% off my check and told me that was all they could do. Never go to Brat Haus. I’m marking it as unsafe not only for people with celiacs, but for anyone because if I were allergic to penicillin they could have literally killed me. This is absolutely deserving of 0 stars, but this app requires that I rate it at least 1 star. Hence the single star.

Awesome gluten-free choices for dinner. Everything was listed on the regular menu. The GF corn dog appetizer was so yummy. Also had a bratwurst with GF bun!

Celiac friendly with a dedicated fryer. Tears of joy came to our eyes since the whole family suffer from celiacs. Fried pickles are heavenly and the brats incredible. Gluten free cider. Incredible.

We had Pork schnitzel, currywurst and mini corn dogs, all excellent! The slaw was bland. Had a GF cider that was refreshing. I did take an enzyme as a precaution. My only disappointment was that the mustards were not safe.

OMG! We had gluten free fried pickle spears which we outstanding, bratwurst in buns (pretzel bun for him, GF bun for her). I had the Hoffman burger with GF bun - super tasty, cooked to perfection. Chef John was very thoughtful in making my burger GF. We had GF beer and guava cider which were both delicious. Definitely would come again!!

Staff was great and well aware of celiac and the need to be gf & using caution with cross-contamination etc... After I ordered the waiter came back to let me know that the fryer wasn’t safe, it had been contaminated with gluten the day before. I missed out on fries but I’ll be back to try them in a dedicated gf fryer. Thank you!

So FYI...NO DEDICATED FRYER!! I came in and was informed before I even asked that although they carry gluten free food pickles.... Not to get excited because they 190% fry them in the same oil as the non gluten free items...beware! Not celiac safe!

Dedicated GF fryer!!!! Knowledgeable staff. Several GF craft beers. They are willing to foil wrap and isolate as extra precautions. And the food was great for everyone in our party. Nice downtown people watching location.

The best service, from the GM to the chefs downstairs! Super knowledgeable, informative, and even gave us warnings in case we were celiac. Hubby had the first good gf beer he has had in years. The brats, dogs, fries, and corn dogs were all awesome. We went 2 nights in a row during our honeymoon. My only suggestion was menu expansion and the chef and GM said they were already in the process. We plan to make this a tradition!

Has anyone eaten here lately with celiac disease? I just called ahead to ask some questions because we will be in SB later this week and got a completely different impression of this restaurant being safe for celiac disease. I was told there's no dedicated fryer or grill space, that they have gluten free sausages but there's cc everywhere as it's all prepared together. He also didn't seem to understand that people with celiac disease cannot ingest any cc.

We ate here last night, and it was great! They didn't toast my bun because of the risk of contamination, but I was fine with that. The brats are well marked on the menu with GF and/or DF, as appropriate. They brought me my brat, sauerkraut, and caramelized onions (there are 6 or 8 different toppings to choose from) on a plate, with the bun on the side, and said Gluten free meal as it was delivered. I was fine with building my own sandwich if it meant lower risk of issues. They have a couple of gfree beers plus a cider. I had the Greens Amber. It was wonderful; I would order it again.

I would definitely recommend the Brat House to any celiac like me.

My celiac son enjoyed a brat on a gluten free bun with French fries. I loved my vegan brat (all the vegan brats have wheat in them, so people who need to avoid gluten have various meat choices only).

Delicious food that hits the spot. The menu clearly marks which foods are GF, DF or GF/DF. They carry Udi's buns, but we passed when they said they're frozen and need to be warmed up ... they didn't seem to have a separate, dedicated prep area for that. When we checked about their oil, the server said only things that are fried in it are fries and sausages. Fair warning: The exotic sausages are MUCH smaller than the rest.

Gourmet sausages, salads. Traditional and offbeat flavors. Amazing GF, thick sliced french fries- delicious!! Great service, clearly marked GF/DF menu. They have GF beer and cider to go along with those yummy brats. My new go-to downtown.
