Review of Hollyburn Lodge

4 stars!? Pack food and read the review: I think it’s wonderfully hilarious that one of the very few cafes/restaurants/bars in greater Vancouver to serve GF beer is 1000 metres up Cypress Mountain. Hollyburn lodge, even after a nice renovation, is still pretty old school and unassuming. A nice place to chill out between loops on the Nordic ski trails. Nothing marked GF other than the two varieties of Glutenberg and the potato chips. The chili is rumoured to be GF, but no one really knows. The fryer? (<shrug> … again who knows but I wouldn’t trust it). Even the gluten eaters know that what you get may not be exactly what you ordered. BUT THEY HAVE 2 KINDS OF GF BEER DAMMIT!! Perfect with a bag of chips, and the homemade sandwich and veggies that you packed for a day or night on the hill.
