Holy Chow!

I've ordered from Holy Chow 5 or 6 times. The first time I had an upset stomach but nothing too terrible. It felt like a glutening but wasn't as bad as it could be.

On my most recent visit, I was absolutely glutened.

I've had several safe visits and at least one bad visit. I'm not sure if I will try again but the food is very good so I might.

Holy Chow has a lot of choices that can be made gluten-free with gluten-free soy sauce, not just a white sauce. The obviously gluten items (e.g. egg rolls and lo mein) can’t be made gluten-free but they do have gf rice noodles.

Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! I’ve missed Chineese food so much and they are an amazing solution. The whole restaurant is kosher and the owners family struggles with allergies so they are very aware. No MSG in the building and the nuts are stored separately so there is no cross contamination. Highly recommend!

Best GF Chinese food in the DC area!! They can prepare almost everything with GF soy sauce in a separate wok. I have always felt great after eating there. And the food is awesome!

It is also strictly kosher - so no pork, no shellfish, is closed on Saturdays, and closes 2:30 pm on Friday.
