Made sure to ask if I was celiac or not once I requested gluten free bread. The bread was good and the service was friendly!

Always a winner! We frequent the area annually and always stop at Home Kitchen Cafe. I can’t name more than a couple of places that can cook good GF pancakes and this is one of them. My Celiac daughter always gets the chocolate chip pancakes and devours them. We’ve been here a dozen times over the years and she’s never been sick.

Ate lunch and relied on a Gf omelette with polenta since their GF bread is a definite “no-no” for Celiacs. My vegetable omelette was good. Polenta (in place of bread) was blah. Our waitress was very attentive.

The staff was very friendly and the food was great. However it took about 45 mins to even be seated. I ordered a hamburger (with no bun) and a side salad and stressed to our waitress that I’m celiac and can not have any contamination. She was knowledgeable in letting me know not to get the bun as even THEIR GLUTEN FREE BREADS AND ROLLS ARE ALL CUT ON THE SAME BREAD CUTTER. So dangerous for even gluten allergies! Let alone celiac. I was hoping I would be safe with no bun but unfortunately I got extremely sick after eating here. The fact that they claim they have gluten free bread/rolls and cut it on the same slicer was my first red flag. If they don’t care about the bread being contaminated, I’m sure everything is just integrated in how it’s cooked and prepared. I was pretty much bed ridden for 4-5 days after eating here. Would suggest if you’re in a diet fad or a light sensitivity to gluten they have delicious reduced gluten entrees. However I would strongly advise against for celiacs. Overall great customer service and great food... just not for serious allergy people.

Very good breakfast. The staff were awesome and very knowledgeable. They have home made gluten free bread but they cut it with the same slicer as the regular bread, so that was the only disappointment.

This was my first breakfast experience since diagnosis 10+ years ago. The food and service were top notch. Our waitress was very attentive and understood my food allergy by informing me about how they handle cooking gf food and that they would be happy to cook it separately. I ordered gf blueberry pancakes and a 3 egg omelette with palenta. The food was excellent and well portioned. I would highly recomend anyone with gf allergies to eat here. Back again and went with two pancakes (delicious) and scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries. Another great breakfast.

Cute local joint with many gf options. Our server was knowledgable and warned us that aware cross contamination is an issue so I stayed away from any of their breads since they cut or toast on a shared surface. I had the huevos rancheros for breakfast. It was delicious and I didn't get sick.

Had the most fabulous haddock sandwich I’ve ever had here and I grew up in Maine! Excellent service too! Please note I was forwarned that the gf bread was cut on the same machine as other bread, so was taking a chance here. But there were other much safer options on the menu if you’re sensitive.

I'm going to give it a 4 because the food was delicious. I'm taking 1 satr because I found out after that it is NOT celiac friendly. They cut the bread on the same board as the regular bread and it is made in the same place with regular bread so the flour is all in the air. The woman in the bakery warned me of this after the fact. My fault. The food was delicious but just putting this out there that again it is NOT celiac friendly, too much cross contamination!!!!

Gluten free chocolate chip pancakes! Felt bloated afterwards, don't know if that could be a little cross-contamination or something else.

Great choice for gluten free diners! Very clean restaurant (even the bathroom was clean). I had a BLT on toasted GF bread and it was excellent. The bread was toasted perfectly and held up well. I also had the home fried potatoes with peppers. Friendly waiters and good service!
