I called to inquire about gluten free options the girls on the phone said she wouldn't trust it because of how much free flour is in the kitchen, she wouldn't even recommend their salads for anyone who has to eat gluten free for CD, only if your fad dieting. Boo to them, but thanks for the honesty.
Home Run Inn is my favorite pizza of all time, so the fact that they offer a gluten free crust is very exciting. The crust isn't out of this world, but it's tasty enough and the ingredients topping it are, as always, delicious which help with the flavor of the crust. The wait staff was also very knowledgable when I asked about the gluten free option.
No longer carries gf pizza. The salad might be ok.
Expensive. Very expensive. That being said, I have very warm memories of Home Run Inn from my childhood, so I was excited to take my family. Our server was friendly, very genuine, but 2 major mistakes on our order. We came in for the gluten free pizza and gluten free wings. This very well meaning server brought us regular boneless wings, which was the evening special, but would have been days of discomfort (so glad we caught the mistake before digging in). The gluten free traditional wings were very tasty and management did take off 10% for the inconvenience. The GF pizza was tasty, good options. Our regular pizza was good, although the toppings were incorrect (I didn't have the heart to tell the server, he was attentive, trying hard, so it seemed liveable that toppings weren't exactly as requested). Overall, a good meal. The acoustics in the Bolingbrook location feel loud, as seemed several crying children heard throughout establishment. Service was friendly, prompt. Pizza was good. Overall bill was expensive, but will try carry out as good GF pizza is hard to find.
The GF pepperoni was sub-par. Thin/cardboard crust and had a overall generic, mediocre taste. I expect much more for a $15 10" pizza.
