Review of Honest Abe's Burgers & Freedom

When ordering asked them to denote Celiac/allergy. Actually asked 3 times: when ordering, when he read back order and verified at the end. It was obvious from his lack of caring attitude that the young man taking the order was obviously not trained on Celiac. I was concerned and as we sat upstairs and watched, cross contamination occurred multiple times. When food was brought we asked for it to be redone. The chef came to our table, apologetic, and then told us the protocol of telling them when we order. I let her know I did this several times, as it was evident the young man was not getting it. She apologized and made a fresh meal for my daughter. I did hear her talk to the young man to explain the protocol. Not sure if he understood. We will stick to 70th Street and 84th street. They are amazing!
