We order from here almost weekly for our Celiac son. Continue to have dedicated fryer and allergy/cross contamination protocol. Never had a reaction thus far

Really fun burger options and a quality gluten-free bun (or have your burger on a bed of greens). Pro tip - if you are getting take out or Delivery, get your gluten-free bun on the side. GF buns don’t hold up to moisture for long. So getting it on the side will enable you to assemble your burger right before eating.

10 yr old daughter is very sensitive to gluten and has had no problems. This particular Honest Abe’s is extremely knowledgeable! (Had trouble downtown one, but think it was a newer staff member. Thankfully watched items cooked and asked to redo. Chef was more than apologetic, staff member at front did not denote Celiac as we requested)

Had a good experience here last night!

Delicious and safe! The staff knows about cross contamination. Dedicated fryer for fries. GF buns, sauces, etc.

This place was SO good! They have delicious gluten free buns (and I don’t like gluten free bread) and had fries that were not cross contaminated. The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable about their gluten free options. I would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious! We ordered 5 kids cheeseburgers and two adult meals with fries and water for $52. The meals were served quickly and satisfied everyone. I am gluten free and they readily showed me the ingredient to the sauces on the Park Avenue and I ordered it without a bun on a bed of spinach - delicious and I had no stomach problems. Highly recommend! Not celiac.
My favorite Celiac-friendly burger place in Lincoln! The burgers are amazing and the fries are, too (they are fried in a dedicated fryer so they're safe for Celiacs).
I've eaten here a total of 5 times since my diagnosis in June 2017. Each time, the order taker was very knowledgeable and friendly regarding my gluten free request and didn't treat me like an oddball.
The last time I went, I ordered a Blackberry Winter specialty burger from their rotating menu (it is an awesome burger, by the way). About 5 minutes after I ordered, the order taker came to my table and apologized, saying that they were out of the gluten free blueberry ketchup for my burger (it was the day before the burger was due to rotate off the menu and late in the day to boot) and helped me change my order. I thanked him profusely for his honesty and attentiveness to my need for 100% gluten free. I will definitely go back again, hopefully soon!

I’ve eaten here many times and haven’t ever had an issue.

Beyond delicious! Never had a burger here that I didn’t like. Be brave, try one of the creatively named burgers with unique ingredient combinations. Freedom fries with Awesome Sauce are a must!

Dear celiacs,
I recently dined at Honest Abe's. I must warn first and foremost that the company policy said that while they try their best to keep their foods gluten free, they cannot guarantee cross contamination. However, I had no problems with the food. I ordered the "World's Best Burger" (It's a bit of a stretch) along with the fries (They could use some work). For the most part, they had quality food however. Hope you guys try it!

Awesome burgers. Amazing Parmesan Truffle Fries.

Dedicated fryers, gluten free buns are available, kind of pricey but very tasty.

Heard really good things about this restaurant so we decided to check it out since it is closer to us than Five Guys. It was nice being able to order a gluten free bun instead of just a lettuce wrap, which made the burger more filling and less messy. Kids meals are actually more expensive than most sit down restaurants which is rather annoying and they don't even offer tomatoes as a vegetable topping. Actually, their burgers don't seem to be customizable, except for leaving cheese or sauce off. All in all we though it was okay but I agree with another reviewer who said they would rather go to Red Robin.
Yes
Dedicated fryers and gluten free hamburger buns means you can have a normal meal just like everyone else! However, buns were dry and tough (like most store bought gluten free buns) and hamburgers weren't super juicy or thick. Id choose red robin over honest abes. Though the fries are unique and delicious. If I went back id probably just get the Parmesan truffle fries.
Cook staff readily available & very knowledgeable about gf ingredients & risk of cross contamination. They have a dedicated fryer for fries & give the option of your burger on a gf bun or a bed of romaine or spinach leaves. Best burgers anywhere!
Delicious food, unique burgers, and even offer a gluten free bun for a little extra.
