Service was great. Waitress had celiac so she was knowledgeable. All the seafood and veggies are gluten free as well as the butter is cooked in. Sausage is not(a selected add on). The shrimp chips are made with shrimp and corn starch and fried in fresh oil at the beginning of the day. I've enjoyed all of the seafoods they offer in garlic butter.
No gluten free menu but I called ahead and spoke with the owner of this franchise(who was also there that day) he assured me that I can have any of the seafood boils, and the seasonings are gluten free. He also said that they recently changed their soups to be thickened with cornstarch so they are gluten free as well. I informed the host who told the owner and my server of my allergy they then informed the kitchen of my celiac. The owners first question on the phone was "is it sensitivity or celiac" it made me feel so comfortable he told me he used to be a manager at Disney so he is very celiac/allergy aware! I had shrimp and snow crab dry boil it was absolutely delicious.
Update I ate here again at a later date and had another delicious meal. Our server Olga remembered me from last time and had the owner come to the kitchen to inform the cooks of my celiac.
I’ve tried this place last night and it was a very nice and casual Cajun Seafood restaurant with live music. The manager assured me that any seafood boils are gluten free and all of the sauces. He also assured me that the gumbo was also gf because they use corn starch instead of flour. I had the seafood boil in hook and reel sauce and it was amazing.... so flavorful...most importantly I didn’t get sick.... what a treat.... must try!!!
