I wish I could actually tell you what the food is like. My husband and I went here for the first time for an anniversary dinner. Items are marked gf BUT there are no starchy carbs that are gf. So, if you’re okay with bunless burger and salad or wings and veggies, then this is a place for you. French fries are dredged in flour. No separate fryer which I’m okay with. No other potatoes on the menu tonight. 😭 My husband ate the fries himself as an appetizer then we left to eat elsewhere. Hungry and irritated, so this is not a place for me. Sad, because I really like the atmosphere.

Difficult to get a reservation…for a reason! The food and cocktails are immaculate. The menu has clearly-marked GF items and the cocktail list is long. I got the pork belly entree and my girlfriend got the shrimp and grits. Both were amazing! We also got a few cocktails and the ice cream for dessert. Amazing low-key spot in Lancaster.

The Menu apparently changes daily as the website says. http://horseinnlancaster.com/menus/food/ However the waitress was very knowledgable about Gluten Free because her daughter is GF. She was able to go through the whole menu and point out what is gf and what can be gf with slight modification. For example all salads will be gf if you ask for no Croutons. Most of the menu is GF by nature and priced very reasonably. I had Gnocchi and The Horse Fries appetizer and they were very good, actually surprisingly good. I've had no stomach issues after and I will definitely be back when I am in town I'd love to try more of there food. Great place.
