The owner is very knowledgable on many allergies and takes great precaution to insure everyone can enjoy a hot dog of so so many varieties. And uses canola oil in fryer for fries only.

This quaint little hot dog stand near the beach is near perfect. The ONLY thing that would make it better is a shady place to eat your hot dog before getting back to the sandy, hot beach. The line is long but it gives you time to look over the biggest hot dog stand menu I’ve ever seen. The hot dogs are GF and they have decent GF rolls which are a bit too bread-y for the “leaner wiener” but probably perfect for the “BADs” (black angus dogs). The fries are GF as they have a closed system dedicated fryer. The owner stopped taking our order as soon as we mentioned Celiac to have his kitchen staff change their gloves and clean the pan the fries land in to make sure there is no cross contamination with bread crumbs. We had several different loaded hot dogs and all were messy but delicious! I can highly recommend the junk yard dog and the fries were tasty too. Don’t forget to get a GF slushee as well. My celiac daughter had a Texas tommy with a leaner wiener, fries and a lemonade slushee. All yummy and she didn’t get sick. I can personally recommend the junkyard dog. This is a must stop for lunch in Cape May!

Wow a real bun! This place is great. Owner takes it seriously to ensure his patrons are safe. Did I mention the bun? It was soft, good and covered the whole hot dog - and we even ordered the large. No cardboard taste here! A must do at the beach!

If you have CELIAC DISEASE, you should know that you can enjoy a safe lunch here! The owner is very knowledgeable about food allergies and dedicated to serving you safely with next to no risk of cross contamination. Just be sure to tell them when you order that you have CELIAC DISEASE and they will do everything right, including changing their gloves when they prepare and bag your food separately. The even have a fryer dedicated to GF French fries!!! There are very few places in CM I have found which both have knowledge and really use safe practices. So far, I'd rate this as #1.

The owner was clearly well informed about the gluten free situation. New to change gloves and prepare food in a separate area. French fries were celiac safe. All of the food was delicious and great for the price.

Hotdogs are certified gluten free, and the gluten free hotdog bun is very similar to a traditional wheat bun. The owner's niece has celiac disease, so he is very aware of cross contamination issues.

This place is a MUST if you're gluten free! The owner is very aware of Celiac, and made our fries himself. They have a gluten free hot dog that looks and feels like a wheat bun, and all the toppings are gluten free. Our new favorite for a casual bite!

Excellent hot dog bun! Had the Shaggie Dog (sauerkraut and cheddar cheese) with yellow mustard. Owner's niece has celiac; he tells the story how he had to convince her the bun was gluten free. It didn't fall apart like Udi's (his old bun). We're looking forward to going back again!

My husband and his sister have celiac. They ate here 3 times on our vacation. The new owner, Bruce, is very accommodating and knowledgeable. He made the gluten free dogs himself and was cautious of cross contamination
