Had such an awesome experience! The owner even came out to talk to me about everything on the menu and the history of how he started this and how he cares so much about people with food allergies and goes above and beyond to make his place safe for people with multiple allergies! I couldn’t have regular hot dogs bc I’m also allergic to red meat. But had a carrot hot dog on a safe allergy friendly gluten free roll and amazing French fries!! French fry’s are fried in a dedicated gluten free fryer with canola oil. No issues on cross contamination bc they are super careful! If your ever in cape may this is a real treat!

Visited HOT DOG Tommy's on Saturday 8/19. What a treat! Don't hesitate to visit this place if you have Celiacs! I has the Bad Dog with mustard and fries. Both were awesome and I felt great. The owner is one of the nicest people you will meet and answers any questions to make sure you feel safe. The younger girl at the front that brings you your order was such a sweetheart too. Great people! Great place !

Took so much time to explain to me how everything was 100% celiac safe. Has a separate grill in the back for the hot dogs and buns so they are no where near the other hot dogs and buns. Fries are also the only thing fried in the fryer with gluten free oil. Hot dog buns don’t fall apart when eating them at all. His family members have celiacs so he is so accommodating and makes sure you feel so comfortable. Such a great guy and place. I felt so included with all of my friends and their normal gluten hot dogs !!!

What can I say? FIVE stars—GO HERE! Tons of hot dog options—gluten free fries…but most importantly a business owner who really and truly cares! This awesome and friendly man came out to the sidewalk to chat with me about all the care he takes with his gf food and customers with celiac. Wonderful find from this group! The owner is very knowledgeable and has a dedicated fryer. I had the chili cheese leaner dog and French fries. Delicious and did not get sick! (I’m a sensitive celiac, I don’t eat out much)

Wow. Tommy was so considerate and explained the whole gf process. He said he found the gf hot dog buns in Nebraska. They are so good. One employee is dedicated to the order. Bread is in completely separate areas. Fries are in a dedicated fryer.

We stop here every time we are in Cape May. The owner (with the hot dog hat) is amazing, patient and kind. He explained the entire prep and cooking process to us and takes his time to ensure everyone is well taken care of. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy this treat when we are down the shore! Highly recommended.

If you have celiac I cannot recommend this place more. Tommy himself was there to talk me through everything g he could do gluten free. He must have spent close to 10 minutes just explaining all the details he’s taken care of to make things 100% safe. He had new lines installed for the frozen slushee machines so they are GF. Had the GF buns specially made in Philly, makes the hot dogs himself. He has 7 people in his family who have celiac and was so pleased to “serve” me and make me able to eat like I was a kid again. Try the mashoogana dog and the Nor’easter. French fries are to die for too! Thank you, Tommy, for making me feel special instead of a hassle.

I 100% recommend this place. The line was wrapped around the building but it was definitely worth it. Tommy was knowledgeable and told us how they prevent any CC and spent so much time giving us reassurance even with 100 people In line behind us. Vegan hot dog was yummy but the gf hot dog bun was by far the best we have ever had! French fries were to die for as well. We will be returning soon!

Long lines but worth it! I haven’t had a hot dog on a fresh bun in the longest time, their GF buns were amazing! All their hot dogs are GF, I went simple with just ketchup but there are many options including cheese, mashed potatoes, etc which are GF. My receipt, individual hot dogs, as well as the bag was all marked GF, did not get sick and was an excellent treat.

Best hot dog I’ve ever had! The owner was taking orders when I went, and spent the time assuring me all the precautions they take and everything that he could make gluten free, which was a lot. Hot dog Tommy’s is not only SUPER GF friendly… but it’s also amazing!!! I was so impressed - and so was my partner who is NOT GF. I got a plain dog— ketchup and mustard only — on GF bun (that was amazing) and I also got a hot dog+GF bun + mashed potatoes + chili! I asked him if his chili was GF and he literally responded with “of course!” He said besides the buns they keep- they’re 99% GF! No flour anywhere! This is one of those hole in the wall kind of places that’s just really iconic. It’s a simple idea but they do it really good and the owner really cares to keep everything safe. SO GOOD! Met the owner and he was SO nice and personable! My family went to breakfast at a place nearby and I didn’t go in with them knowing I wouldn’t be able to find anything/ didn’t know about them. I took a little walk and turned the corner to see this place and remembered it was first to come up on the app. When I said celiac the gal at the register stepped asked and a gentleman who was the owner or kitchen manager stepped up to register and answered all my questions, made fabulous suggestions, and explained his process; making me feel confident I found this place. So what if it was 10:30a and I’m having hot dogs! So yummy! Get the Chicago(esque) Dog and fried.

I loved Hotdog Tommy’s! The owner is so friendly and answered all of my questions confidently. The buns are delicious (no dry Udi’s here) and I think most of the signature dogs are naturally gluten free. My food was all marked when it came out and the fries were fried separately. The frozen slushies are amazing as well (highly recommend Orange & Cream)!! Overall highly recommend this spot - the lunch line was long but once you order the food is out super fast!

The food was really good and there was a dedicated fryer for French fries. Gluten free buns were good and did not fall apart. Family members that had not gluten free food also enjoyed their meal. Owner was very kind and helpful and gave us a lot of fries.

GF hot dog buns and fries. Everything tasted great! Bruce the owner really cares about his patrons. He personally talked to me and assured me of my safety at his establishment. Highly recommended

Gluten free hot dogs, hot dog buns, and fries. The service was amazing. The owner who took our order took the time to ask questions and explain the procedures. While the food was good and service was quick his friendliness made our visit that much better. Definitely will return!

Awesome service! Explained what was GF. The owner took the time to come out and talk to us (and we didn’t even ask!). He is sweet and caring about GF. Did I also mention they are DELISH!
