Have a list of gluten products. Not knowledgeable at all.
Talked with a manager who was very friendly however he was not knowledgeable about gluten free and was not very convincing about cross contamination. The more questions I asked the more he admitted that there is a chance for spatulas and spoons to touch wheat tortillas and then going back into the dish. Very disappointing but expected from a chain like that. Would not recommend celiacs to dine there!
This is the worst Hot Heads around. While none of them are great, this one is awful. They do not change gloves unless you ask them to specifically. They use the same bowels of ingredients for everything. This means everything is cross contaminated. They make a burrito, touch the wheat tortilla, and then touch the shredded cheese. They use that same shredded cheese to make a gluten free bowl. (Side note - they will not give you plain twice without lime. This was huge for me because I hate lime flavor.) I certainly say to walk down the road a bit and eat at Chipotle.
Only thing not gluten free were wheat tortillas, queso, teriyaki, fish, barbacoa, and certain sauces. They have an allergen menu online that you can confirm this. Got a pork bowl and had no reaction. Food was decent, similar to chipotle but a bit more affordable. Have eaten twice at this chain (at two different locations) and both experiences have been symptom-free, though cross contamination could be possible due to the shared kitchen and prep space.
