I have eaten at both The Brasserie & Bertie’s and have been decently impressed with their GF options for the area, considering waco doesn’t really cater to GF. The first time we went to The Brasserie. I didn’t ask too many questions bc we were in a huge group, but ordered the korean wings and let our server know i have a gluten allergy, they are absolutely amazing especially with their ranch, and didn’t have any reaction.

We went on easter sunday and our server at Bertie’s was most definitely educated on GF. I was reading over the menu and asked what about the Country Omelette wasn’t GF & she was able to tell me that the only thing that makes it not GF, is the fact that the breakfast potatoes have a shared fryer with other non-GF items. So if you want the Country Omelette, just let your server know that you have a gluten allergy, and sub the potatoes for a GF side! Not to mention for both restaurants, THEY HAVE GF MARKED ON THEIR MENU!

*side note if you’re going for brunch* they don’t season their eggs or omelettes very much, so if you’re looking for an absolutely amazing brunch spot, personally i’d say they’re alright for gf
