Hotel Morning Box Osaka Shinsaibashi

I got here at 7:30. I used the filter to see what was open early early. Mostly all of the pastries are gluten-free and vegan as well. There’s even banana bread! However, the bakery side doesn’t open till 8 AM. If you get breakfast prior to that, though, I had to figure that out on my own. Vibe of the place. Comfy- mid century modern. Reclaimed with Japanese wood furniture.

The food is nicely presented. I got the breakfast bread that comes with vegan cheese and swipe beans that are sweetened like a jam. What a delight ! They serve this drink that looks like dairy but is some sort of dairy free custard … I’m allergic to lactose too

I very few options but they tasted ok. Nice for a quick breakfast to go but open late too.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now. I chose it because their lobby cafe has gf breakfasts, lunch & cakes.

Be warned, the compact rooms are tiny (with a capital T!) but the access to delicious gf food, a comfortable guest lounge and the large onsen-style bath on the top floor make it worthwhile. It’s also super close to some other great gluten free restaurants. Recommended!
