I got the 2-2-2 with scrambled eggs, bacon and gluten free french toast. I had seen the previous review that questioned the safety of the facility. I asked my server about the French toast, whether it was dipped in the same batter as regular bread. She said if you tell me you are celiac we take extra precautions. The French toast was delicious. This restaurant is a community gathering spot so it has at Hometown feel. Very welcoming staff and accommodating.
No. I got glutened here. Server said fries were GF, I was dumb for eating them even though they were battered, I just wanted to believe her so badly. Owner informed us upon checking out that in fact she was quite wrong. Weird, crusty stuffed animal bear decor, harsh fluorescent lighting, eggs & bacon were ok but I can get that anywhere. It's fine for non-GF people who like ridiculous portion sizes.
I had the 2-2-2 breakfast with gluten-free French toast, eggs and ham. It was delicious and the staff was friendly in accommodating me. French toast made with gluten-free bread. They do have a separate toaster as well, if I had wanted regular toast instead. They have several items on the breakfast menu that are gluten-free or can be made gluten-free.
We have loved this restaurant for years when we come to CO. We were excited to see gluten free French toast on the menu for an up charge. I notified the waitress I am celiac. Ate the toast and am pretty sure I either didn’t get the right bread or there was a huge cross contamination. I had a major flare up of symptoms after eating here:-(
We tried eating here. Super cross contamination. They do not use separate anything. Staff was also rude about our needs. But mostly, if you have celiac it is zero safe to eat there.
Says they have GF options but it is all cross contaminated. Not safe.
Staff was not helpful.
I let the waitress know that I had to be gluten free right away. She asked if I was celiac and I said yes. She proceeded to tell me that they do have gluten free bread but I couldn't do the French toast because of cross contamination. I appreciated the knowledge and had a great breakfast. Oh and the most important part, I didn't get sick!
They have several GF options on the menu. The Caramel Walnut French Toast was quit tasty!
