DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE CELIAC!!! I ate the GF Tagine... NOT GF. It came out with couscous- I thought it was the potatoes it was supposed to come with. I only realized afterwards that those small granules were couscous and not ground potatoes. When you order a meal you trust that it will be right. I just wish that I had realized it sooner. I'll be sick for months now.

I had an amazingly delicious GF meal here. Short ribs with mushroom risotto, and it was fabulous. Courteous and friendly staff, knowledgeable about celiac. I liked it so much I went back again a few nights later and had the exact same thing.

I had very high hopes for this restaurant after reading all of the reviews and the fact that the Chef's daughter is Celiac. I came here with my daughter who is Celiac and was looking forward to a great meal. We asked for and ordered from the GF menu (and notified the server my daughter is Celiac), ordering the Cheese Plate and Moroccan Skewers for a starter. Because my daughter is so sensitive, we use the Nima sensor (a portable device that tests for the presence of gluten - https://nimasensor.com/), and found that the Moroccan Skewers showed an unacceptable level of gluten. She did not eat any of the skewers as a result and we were hoping this was a one-off and her chicken main course would be fine. Unfortunately that dish also had gluten in it as well so she could not eat it. What I presume to be the manager happened to walk by at that time and asked how our meal was. I explained that both of the dishes my daughter ordered had gluten and we explained to him Nima, which he had not heard of (not a surprise - Nima is quite new). I immediately asked for a check so I could take my daughter somewhere else to eat. He took her chicken dish off the bill, but frankly was not very courteous. If it were my restaurant, I would have had the chef come out to better understand the issue, especially given his daughter is Celiac. By the way (and this is not sour grapes, just factual), our server was not very good - after our appetizer, he cleared our plates and was walking away with the dirty skewer sticks still in the middle of the table - I had to ask him to clear them away. Will not come back here and would steer any Celiacs away from here until they figure out what is happening in this kitchen.

Wow. I had the center cut grilled pork chop and it was delicious. For dessert I had the plum sorbet and it was awesome.

Bob Hurley has family members who are Gluten sensitive, and takes special care in providing a full review of GF items. The grilled wild Salmon and sautéed spinach was fabulous!

This place has an impressive gluten-free menu and is well worth the short drive from Napa. The soup of the day - Cauliflower and Potato - was both gluten-free and delectable. My main course was the Rosemary and Maple Roasted Chicken.

They've been carrying a gluten free menu since 2009 excellent options and the executive chef Bob Hurley is extremely cautious he had family members that have severe Gluten allergies.

The staff knows their stuff and if they didn't they checked. They were also accommodating with altering a request for me. 4 stars as the food seemed to be lacking seasoning and they were ignoring folks a bit around is and people had to keep grabbing other servers walking by. I would definitely say it's a safe celiac place to eat.

Big GF menu plus a Zagat rating BUT fries are on the GF menu and the fryer isn't a dedicated one. I canceled my order when i found out. Kudos to staff for double checking for me. I had soup, Niçoise salad and their GF chocolate almond torte. Soup was fabulous but the rest was just so-so. The wait staff is over the top as far as attentiveness goes. If I'm honest, it was almost too much service. I think I couldn't finish a sentence without interrupting to thank someone for topping off my water or tea, or using the correct grind of pepper to suit my tastes, or removing a dirty utensil etc. Maybe it was the other reviews or the Zagat stickers but I expected a better meal than I experienced. That's why I couldn't give it 5 stars.
