I stayed here for a conference and had food both through the conference itself, which I assume is more the banquet side as well as their bar and restaurant. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, all of my food tested negative on my Nima which is unheard of when I’m traveling. The night of our awards dinner my server noticed my sensor, the next thing I knew I had three of them. Curious what it was so that they understood for future customers, such great people. Everything was delicious, staff was friendly and accommodating, I will be back with my family for a personal trip. Such a great experience can’t recommend them highly enough.
Stayed here for a few nights while attending the conference. I ate food from the restaurant, the LakeHouse, twice. Both times I felt safe and the food was delicious. The conference also included light breakfast and snacks from the hotel, with the option to purchase boxed lunch items. Gluten-free muffins were available at breakfast, which were clearly labeled and located on a tray that was above and behind the gluten options, reducing the chance of cross contact. There were packed gluten free brownies available with the snacks, and the staff members helping with the lunch verified that the boxed salads were safe for me. While options were limited, I was very happy there were options for me and I felt safe eating them.
Gluten free pancakes were not very good, not light or fluffy and had a strange but not-awful flavor. Waffles were small, seemed like pre-frozen toaster style. The flavor was OK but the portion size and presentation was disappointing.
Another meal I had a burger on GF bread, this seems inadequate nowadays for a mid-high end resort. The chicken wings were pretty good, and I didn’t have a reaction to anything served. Mostly, I’d expect a good bit more for the prices, even considering it is a “captive audience”.
The Lakehouse is the restaurant in the Hyatt Grand Cypress hotel. We had breakfast each of our 3 mornings there and found the service to be fantastic. The first morning the chef came out and after that we were lucky enough to have the same waiter, JP, who remembered our order. We had fried eggs prepared in a separate pan along with hash browns and bacon. The kiddos had gluten free pancakes the first morning that I felt were prepared safely, although they did not care for. Overall though it was a fantastic experience and the food was prepared safely. Highly recommend!
