This place is always highly recommended in the Toronto gf community. Pre ordered a cake and had to throw most of it out. The actual cake was sooooo dry, couldn’t even eat it without a huge drink. The cake to icing ratio was low (but that can be personal preference) I ended up scraping the icing off and tossing the rest.

I love the idea of this place, but the baked goods and bowls aren’t actually tasty. It is nice having a dedicated GF facility, but if the food isn’t actually enjoyable to eat then it is a bit of a waste. 😠I’m giving 4 stars for effort even though I doubt I’ll go back.

My boyfriend who has celiac disease and I tried this place out for the first time today and were very impressed. We were greeted by the owner and a nice woman who explained the concept of the restaurant and made us feel very safe eating there. The best part is that all the food we ate was truly delicious. In particular the brisket and the cilantro dressing were exceptional. We will be back!

Truly a lovely place. Good food, everything isolated to allergic people. It worth it to visit. My daughter, who is celiac, got very protected during our launch.

They will ask at the ticket boot of any allergies and will provide a card to give to the server. The chicken, corn, potato, soup and sorbet is gluten free. In place of the garlic bread they gave celery and carrot stick. I had no issues and neither did my daughter who has peanut allergy.

I am conflicted about how many stars to give to Hype. I love love love the concept of the restaurant, as did my allergic kid, but I found that the hot meals really tasted like steam table food (bland, over cooked, mushy), which they were. For the hot food, I’d give it 3 stars, but the restaurant itself, and its ethos, 5 stars. I haven’t been back since my first visit, because it just wasn’t tasty enough. But if the food was improved, I definitely would.

Staff is amazing, the one kind girl is careful and absolutely thoughtful. The owner is spectacular and whenever I go in is always there to greet me, shows he really cares about his business and every single customer. Unfortunately, due to location, I haven't been able to go more then a few times; however, each time was spectacular and better. As I always am, I was afraid of even the slightest cross contamination, but I never had gotten sick once (super sensitive). They also sell snacks on the go, which comes in handy when your in a rush. It's my new safe haven...

You know you’re at a good place when they ask you about your allergies or intolerances before you even order! They offer cafe style treats and drinks (The donuts are amazing) as well as nourish bowl-style pick-your-own-toppings meals.

Nice family-friendly atmosphere that my family can enjoy, while eating delicious and worry-free meals, some gluten and dairy-free soft serve (Dole Whip), baked goods and locally roasted coffee. Their kitchen is free from gluten and top allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, eggs, soy, sesame and seafood. The best part, my kids really enjoy their Lego table, and draw on their wall as well!

Run by a family with food allergies, this is a delicious, dedicated gluten-free cafe with a wide variety of food options. Lots of great stuff for lunch or dinner and a FULL array of desserts, including lots of cupcakes. Flavors are really good here and the owners are exceptionally dedicated to their customers and making sure you have a good (and safe) experience.
