IHOP locations can be pretty clean and busy, or things can look a little rough. This one sits near a bunch of options, and it did not appear to be very popular. I had a breakfast platter with gf pancakes and coffee. Instead of an up charge of a couple of dollars, as I see at other IHOP locations, I was charged for a complete separate side order of pancakes, which is $7. In fact, there were several upcharges. I read the room, paid the bill, and left. I had some mild issues with the food (which I’d normally have with some cross contamination, not full-on glutened, plus the total bill was nearly double what I have been charged at other IHOP locations for the same things. I do NOT recommend this location for food safety or shady business practices.
We’ve been here several times in the past few years since I found out they have gluten free pancakes. The staff is not super knowledgeable about certain food options safety if you make substitutions (burgers w/out the buns), so I stick to the stuff that is gluten free. If you go to Ihop’s website you can look more information up with ingredients. They call it “gluten friendly” because they do not guarantee that you can prevent cross-contamination (especially as a chain), but they have used separate stuff when I have gone in and been pretty good. Usually, I get the gluten friendly pancakes, hash browns, and bacon. I’ve not gotten sick.
