The place has a good selection of pastas and pizza for GF and an AIC sticker on the menu. I had the cacio e pepe pasta and shared a diavola pizza with my fiancé. It wasn’t the best GF Italian food I’ve ever had but it certainly wasn’t the worst. The pizza tasted like it had been cooked from frozen. This was mentioned in a footnote on the bottom of the GF menu that said that if fresh isn’t available then the food will be from frozen. It was average but the most expensive meal we’ve had in Italy (nearly €70 compared to c.€50) for the exact same amount of food.
I had seafood pasta and it was divine, so many fresh meats, prawns, muscles and fish in a beautiful traditional Italian GF spaghetti on the streets of Rome by the Trevi fountain. Not super expensive and full GF menu! GF had Gf carbonara so I could dip in after mine ;)
I hate it when people leave mediocre reviews and then I have to decide if the place is not worth visiting or they were just grumpy that day. But this is going to be a mediocre review. This place is fine. The food is good, the service is fine. There is nothing bad about it, but I was kind of underwhelmed. It felt like a bistro geared towards tourists. If you’re looking for a convenient, safe place near Trevi, this will do, but if you have your choice of all of Rome, go elsewhere.
The food took FOREVER to arrive, and the service was pretty nonexistent, but the GF pasta was definitely safe and really delicious (I got the cacio e pepe). I rarely trust GF pasta, but I took a chance (when in Rome…). I’d recommend this place if you’re not in a hurry. The limoncello spritz cocktail was great too!
