Some of the best service I’ve had for GF, and their sandwich bread replacement is delicious (apparently imported directly from Italy!). No separate fryer but they were willing to do pan fried potatoes for me instead of the fries the sandwich comes with. Fantastic overall.
Loved this place before I was GF. Went back for the first time in 2 years and was pleasantly surprised. The GF pizza was great, wish it was cooked longer but sure I could request that next time. The GF tagitalle was amazing, it was my favorite dish a few years ago so so glad I could have it again! Couldn’t even tell the noodles were GF. No reactions. Sat outside on heated patio in December and it was plenty warm, great vibe and server.
Our server Alex/buffalo helped me walk through the menu of what I could eat. Pizza, pasta, apps, etc. My group got the burrata and sweet potato as well as the Caesar salad without breadcrumbs as an app. Sooo yummy! Pizza was pretty good but not out of the park. The pizza is cooked in a separate oven so that was incredible to hear. I got the salted caramel gelato that was to die for but they should add more gf desserts.
First time visiting Charleston and all I have been seeing is Indaco! I decided to come here and it succeed my expectations. Our server FAWN was pure southern hospitality, top notch service who knew EVERYTHING about the menu I was beyond impressed and felt super safe. YOU HAVE TO ASK ABOUT GLUTEN FREE, IT IS NOT LISTED ON THE MENU!! I got the Tagliatelle gluten free and the spicy soppressata pizza gluten free at well. It was AMAZING. The crust was super fluffy and the pasta was cooked PERFECTLY!! My guest got the bucatini Nero (not gluten free) but could be!! He rated it a 10/10!!!!! All pasta can be GF except the ones made with ravioli! Same with the appetizers, 8/10 of them can be made GF except the meatballs and focaccia!! Which is spectacular!!! I know they had dessert options but we were too full! When I visit here again this will definitely be a returning spot for us!!!!!
My favorite Italian in the city. The pizza is so good, you can’t even tell it’s gluten free. The pasta is also very good as well as the drinks. Couldn’t recommend more!
Pizza crust taste like some of the OG store bought crusts- super dry. Barely any sauce or cheese too & is pretty expensive all around. The non-gluten ppl in my group liked their meals though
Great and very safe! Tons of gluten free options. They only have a couple gluten free and dairy free options, but they were still great. I had the broccoli I which was amazing and the gluten free, vegan pasta with garlic and herb sauce. So good!
If you want to sit outside, don’t come here. They refuse to open their garage doors in the “outdoor” area. It smells like dirty rags from your college dive bars. Food is not as good as other places. the stench is too awful plus air conditioning “outdoors” on a gorgeous summer night. I will never come back. So many other better choices
GF pasta and pizza were both amazing! Our waitress was so sweet too
I had an awesome experience here!! My waitress was so reassuring of my options and preparation for a celiac (separate oven for pizza, separate pasta water). So much to choose from and enjoyed my meal! I wish the crust on my pizza was cooked a bit more, wasn’t as fluffy as I would’ve liked, but overall would recommend!!
Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten free options on the menu and made notes for the kitchen to take extra precautions.. Many of their pasta dishes can be made gluten free, and they have gluten free pizza. I saw another review that said all pizzas are fired in the same oven. That may have been true at one point, but now all gluten free pizzas are cooked in a totally separate oven to avoid cross contamination (not a wood fire oven). My husband and I ordered the same kind of pizza, but his was non-GF. He liked my gluten free crust better.
We went last night. Our server was very knowledgeable when I told her I was celiac. She informed us that there was a dedicated pizza oven and that they have a separate pasta pot for any GF pasta dishes. I felt very comfortable with her level of understanding.
The food was amazing..we had the peach pizza and the Campanelle verde both were delicious! I cannot wait to return!
Great experience at Indaco! We sat at the bar and the bartender was very knowledgable about Celiac disease and gluten! They offer a gluten free pasta and gluten free pizza. They do cook all pizzas in the same wood fired oven so I got the gluten free pasta since I didn’t want to risk the cross contamination. Overall delicious food, great experience, and knowledgable staff!
I had the pizza but they said they could make several of the pasta dishes gluten free as well. Wood fired gluten free pizza.... to die for!!
