Are here on June 16th 2024 and confirmed over and over that everything was celiac safe and was assured. I had the calamari for an app with the dipping sauce and ordered a fish dish for my entree. When my entree came out, they told me they had to change the sauce because the tartar sauce was not GF. THE SAME tartar sauce served with the calamari that I was assured was safe. Needless to say I got sick still no matter how many questions I asked or how many times I confirmed.
The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The scallops and fresh fish were very good. The steak was flavorful, but very fatty. The corn crusted oysters had too much breading and the fried green tomatoes did as well. The Creme Brulee, flourless chocolate cake and sorbet were all very good desserts. Good service.
My go to place for a fancier date night! Their gluten free options have not disappointed me yet & I have not gotten sick.
Very good food and a lovely atmosphere! I had the short rib dish, and I highly recommend. They also have gluten free charcuterie options! The restaurant has its own parking area and is handicap accessible. The staff was friendly and absolutely knowledgeable about gluten free items on the menu.
They take Celiac seriously, my server immediately knew what it was as well as how they would handle the dishes to make things gluten free. Had both gf bread and crackers, gave generous portions of each. Really love this place 75% of the menu can be made gluten free, but only a few seem to already be gf, so you will need to inform your server
Incredible care! We noted in our reservation we had two people with celiac, and our server asked us about it when greeting us! They said almost the whole menu can be made GF, and that they have a separate fryer and would use clean pans instead of grill for everything. THEY GET IT. I had the mushroom soup, steak and fries, and creme brulee for dessert. Delicious.
This was more than just a restaurant, it was an experience. Not a ton of options but everything is clearly marked. Most things said can be modified GF so I stuck with an entree that was actually just GF (veggie paella). It was delicious and inventive. I also decided to try the fried green tomatoes and the server said there is a dedicated fryer. I did not have any issues. The wine and ambiance were also fantastic.
Excellent experience! It was so nice to have a clearly marked menu with actual delicious GF options. The personal attention was wonderful. It was our anniversary and we had a handwritten card and complimentary champagne toast awaiting us when we arrived. I have celiac disease and felt great the next day after eating there (the real test!)
I usually stick with a steak and always get the creme brûlée which is amazing. You have to really be specific about cross contamination. I have celiac and I'm incredibly sensitive. The last 6-7 times I've dined with no issue. Dined here on Friday night and got contaminated. Total bummer.
Had a wonderful lunch there, and not only did they accommodate gluten-free, but double checked that the two cheeses I had were pasteurized. Delicious!
